I am not interested no, I have a Std Jazz already but as I said in my PM to you, best of luck with the sale.
3. Nothing need be said re these great budget basses. Upgrades: Wizard Trad pup. Fender Std bridge with cover. (Pictured here WITHOUT cover, but it will be supplied). Gotoh Reverse Vintage tuners. Rewired with CTS pots, switchcraft jack and new orange capacitor. Case is not new but very sound, with red fur lining. No damage at all apart from small ding on edge of headstock. Thses seem to go for around £200 with no case or upgrades. BARGAIN at £220 (exc shipping). Collection from Chelmsford or Harlow in ESSEX or available to post.
4.
Wow, beautiful! Great photo. Did you encounter any problems, or can you pass on any tips?
These DID fit the original holes. I had to countersink some holes a tad behind the plate to accomodate the tags at the rear. Yes, not ideally straight, but hey ho>may get round to repositioning one day!!
5. To realise some funds for a new lighter weight rig (NOT AMPEG!!! LOL), offered is my trusty TE rig, well some of it!!! THE 1x15 CAB IS NOT FOR SALE AT PRESENT. AH300SMC amp with rack tuner in 4U rack - £280 OVNO 4x10 cab - £180 OVNO The cab is 34cm deep (the shallow type). In the interest of accuracy, this cab was bastardised from a 4x10 combo by the previous owner. The job has been done well and it remains a great sounding cab. Single 1/4" jack on rear. No tweeter control. Collection only from Chelmsford or Harlow in ESSEX.
6. OK, thanks very much. Will keep an eye on the auction.
7. I put genuine reverse vintage Fender tuners on my CV Precision.
8. Is it an SM or SMC (does it have a compressor)??? You would probably get your money back IMO. They do seem to hold a reasonable amount of value. GL
9. So..is the asking price inclusive of shipping?
10. Blimey, its gone UP £30 in 10 minutes.!!!!

I'll have the tort if I may! Let me have PP details so I can send postage.
12. Front to back is 34cm. As is the 1x15 and my 2x10 combo. Standard depth for combos and ext cabs I think. Are you sure yours is 32cm??
13. Will get back to you today re depth!!!
14.
You should get something quite good for £1200000, or was that a typo?
oops, yes, well spotted.
15. Firstly, thankyou for all the helpful replies, deffo food for thought. I now agree that going for a lightweight amp is pointless. I am used to the Trace sound and dont really want to lose it. My TE head currently sits in a 3u case with a sh*te Behry tuner/racklight. I think I will rehouse it on its own in a light 2u case or rack bag to keep weight down to minimum. Ive read all of Alex's info on his Barefaced site and Im leaning towards a Compact for now, aposs adding a Midget later on. So, would a TE 300w head running a Compact be OK? Thanks neil
16.
Does anyone know if Trace Elliot do an extension cab for their combos ? I'm looking for a 4x10 with a depth of 32cm (which appears to be the depth of my 1215V Combo 2x10 combo. The standard cabs are a lot deeper than the width of their combos (mine anyway) and I'm struggling to find a match. Any ideas? Cheers
Hi mate I have a shallow 4x10 TE cab I may be shifting soon. It was bastardised from a 4x10 combo. I currently sit it on a shallow 1x15 cabinet. I will dig out a tape measure later and see if its 32cm and get back to you. Cab is fair nick and sounds the nuts. Its here:
17. Im starting to make inroads into my 40s now and the old Trace stuff is doing me in. I am looking for a lightweight amp and a 4x10 cab. I play in a function band playing usual functiony type stuff (bit of everything) and a blues rock band which requires more dynamic/loud playing. Suggestions and recommendations would be welcomed. I will be buying from Darren at Bass Merchant as he is top bod and only 20 mins up the road from me. Budget approx £1200k Thankyou.
18. Fender never stopped producing maple boarded basses, they just introduced rosewood in the early 60s.
