1. Dunno about the fleabass, but I did enjoy that cowbell!
2. I had this problem with an Aria fretless with a musicman style pickup, so I blu-tacked a 2p coin to the body. Swish, no?
3. Hi Chloe, nice to meet you. Hope you enjoy yourself here! Don't apologise for mistakes! Everyone makes them, and you need them to learn! Your English is already fantastic though!
4. Awesome, I used to have a baritone (I think) Uke, loadsa fun, but I never really got to grips with it. Be really interesting to see how this one turns out. Reason for edit: I spelt 'this' wrong
5. If it doesn't come back, he owes you money. If it does, you still owe him a slap! Sorry, I realise he's your friend, but what an absolute arsehole. Everything crossed for you here too.
6. The guy in the videos isn't that interesting, that Pat Metheny rant however is fantastic! Seriously though, that lad plays like there's something wrong with him, but if he manages to find people to pay him to play like that, then more power to him. Personally, the phrase "contemporary christian music" was enough to bring me to the verge of kicking the computer out the window, but that's just me.
7. Yeah, the quality isn't the best, but someone obviously thinks you're worth the time and effort to put it on YouTube for others to see, that's pretty cool. If he'd posted it with the title 'f***ing sh*te band I saw the other night' or something, it'd be a different story, but as it stands I reckon it's a pretty good advertisement for you. I'm sure lots of people with see this and google you, which will lead them to your website, which may in turn lead to more people at gigs. Win.
8. Haven't watched the videos, but from the responses he's received, and the ones he's dished out, I'd say there're an inordinate amount of tossers with access to keyboards in the world. Quick edit: I'm not including your good self in that statement b5, I agree with your assessment of that guy's contribution to the thread.
9. Fantastic musicianship! No excuse for his hair though.
10. Another vote for Pops from me, I really like it, but to be fair I haven't tried many, and I'm really lacking in the arco department! But I always find it does the trick, and not having to wait for days for it to warm up is a bonus! Like Endorka says though, you do have to be careful because it will try to escape!
11. Just checked him out on youtube, great feel, his bass sounds great. I always love seeing older guys playing music, there's just something really cool about it.
12. Did a gig once with a big cab that I had borrowed, halfway through the soundcheck -unfortunately it was one of those gigs where the bands soundcheck in front of the crowd- one of the speakers fell out of the cab! We managed to prop it up somehow, and more or less made it through the gig, a few farty noises here and there, but it wasn't too bad!
13. Just rediscovered Brian Setzer, so I've spent a good bit of today trying to get my head around some rockabilly type stuff, lots of fun but bloody hard on the old paws! Good bit more practise to be done yet!
14.
I never tire of this one - more drum than bass though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCxmNTVVGnw...49&index=26 Why do the hotel foyers I pass through never have this kind of entertainment??
That was fantastic! Loved it!
15.
for anyone who is interested here is a preview pic of the Mango f/board.
That is seriously nice! Never seen mango wood before (that I know of) Getting pretty damn exciting now eh!
