1.
Absolutely fantastic stuff, chaps. Thanks a million. I just couldn't hear it, but now it makes sense. Gotta love Basschat!
hope those little snippets made sense - apart from the easily identifiable main riff based over an F minor those other runs sound quite exotic but once you see where they fall on the neck (mostly sort of pentatonic arpeggios) the rest of it all pretty much falls into place
2.
Jesus! Is this not THE WORST looking guitar you have ever seen? http://www.gak.co.uk...lack-onyx/77543
that surely MUST be the best bass for metal

6. just pretend that you werent actually aware of its true collectable value and tell him hes unlucky because you just sold it two days ago to someone for (what turns out to be) a very knock down price
7. not liking 5 but ok with 6 as the 4 sit symmetrically inside it

10.
1st I shall ask for a favour. My band are asked for votes to help us play on the RedBull stage at Download. All you need to do is click on the following link and click vote. That's it. Nothing else. Would make me one happy happy bassist. http://download.redb...d/khaos-theory/ Now for some good news. We are going to be on the BBC iPlayer/radio soon. We are playing/being interviewed/recorded this Sunday for the BBC introducing. They are gonna make us "Band of the Week" and feature us on the iPlayer and on BBC Hereford and Worcester. Hopefully it will lead on to bigger and better things. I shall be posting links as soon as they are up. Thanks in advance for any votes.
im very sorry but you forfeited your vote by putting your foot up on the bass drum all for lack of a big wedgie monitor!! but seriously good luck with the iplayer thingy y'all
11. Would be interested to hear how this would sound with a fretless
12. poor guitarist wouldnt be able to make up their mind whether to widdle or twiddle
13. CODA please include yewchewb linkage and skip to time - ta i love this song to pieces but the coda is particularly awesome skip to 3:33 edit - forgot to add - didnt mean the indulgent noodling bit just the last 8 bars proper
14. loads - but i would thoroughly recommend check out scott devine's lessons on youtube especially the one where he covers walking bass lines
15.
Before I even clicked the link I knew what it was going to be. Scary face, nice bass
+1

17.
I want to be in that Mandrill tribute!
best make sure you emphasise it as mandrill and not man-drill then
18. try 'Lady Cab Driver' pre-dates this by several years and is equally groovy and understated
19. I couldn't afford the cruise at the moment but certainly wouldn't have any objections to it Maybe if they did a budget version of it like a butlins weekender ....
20. Hopefully without sounding too harsh ... The acoustic guitar is a bit 'distracting' The rhythm of the strumming pattern doesn't sit well with the vocal for me . In particular the very opening bar, I didn't get the rhythm and timing until the second to third bar. The acoustic strumming almost sent me to the stop button but the overall effect was very listenable and kept me there till the end edited with smilies as original posted with stoopid iphone
21. jaunty ....
22. i use a trace boxer 65 for this - has headphone output - its big enough for small/acoustic gigs (no DI out though) - there was a smaller 35(?) version iirc - you can usually pick one up really cheap somewhere - i got mine from evilbay a couple years ago for 65 quid
