Hehe sorry to keep you all in suspense. Doddy is correct, the delivery of the cabs was delayed. I have the head but as I don't have a cab I can't give any feedback other than its very small and neat. The good news is my Mi12 arrives from the lovely people at Ashdown tomorrow. I'll post a picture of the rig then and a quick review after rehearsals on Friday
Excellent, really excited to see what these are like... Eude
I was told last week that the Mi Cabs are expected for delivery in the next few weeks,so I'm guessing that he's not got the full rig yet.
Boo Well pics and first impression from you too, when they arrive, thank you! Eude

Yup, I'm interested in going back to a microhead/1x12 cab set up, be really interested to hear how you get on with this kit, photos and a review would be VERY nice Eude
I would say its kinda old school sounding, but then im playing finger n pick onto tapewound strings so it aint guna sound hifi lol. the RS112 is a bit boomy in my living room so got it set slight cut on the bass slight boost to the mids and treble kinda 10 oclock 2 oclock 1 oclock sounds realy good up to about 10 oclock on the volume, then the light fitting starts to rattle n things fall off the wall !!!!!
Nice one dude, thanks for that

Absolutely gorgeous mate! You must be VERY happy Eude -
Had mine for a couple of weeks now. Love the sound. Love tone prints. Build seems very solid, no funny noises from mine. I havent tryed it through anything bigger than my RS112 8ohm cab, but at home that is loud at just 1 quater volume. Had an ampeg pf350 befor and that was def not as loud into the same cab. Into a pair of 12s or a 4x10 at 4ohms I think this would be more than enuf loud for most things and if you need more theres a Di on the back
Sounds good man, I don't need to change my set up, but I've got itchy feet. How would you describe the RS112 cab along with the head? Is it an old school sounding thing, or is it more hifi? Cheers, Eude
They should have made a 12 inch cab version with a variables tweeter and the same 500 w head with a few tweaks. I'd pay good money for that!
Yup, real shame that. I've been considering selling my Promethean lately, partly just for a bit of a change, but I really miss the little bit more oomph you get from a 12" compared to 10". The thing looks like a very cool design, but it looks very much like the 1x15 combo that came out a few months ago, they've cheapened the thing a bit Eude -

Wow, that's pretty cool! I personally like the changes, I much prefer a simpler EQ section. The limiter would be cool too, as I do occasionally over power the front section and have had the speaker fart out a bit on those "how loud does this thing really go" moments... I just don't understand why they didn't make a 12" version I don't think the head is removable anymore, and the tilt back stand looks like it might be missing too. These are both pretty major selling points, I think the fact that they aren't mentioned means they aren't there... Eude -
The MiBass heads are great quality. I've had no problems with mine-I take it out all the time and it still doesn't have a mark on it, and it's not like I baby my gear. All the controls are smooth and solid too.I can't say anything against it. As far as I'm aware with the cabs, last time I spoke to Lee he told me that they were expecting delivery of the cabs hopefully in the next few weeks.
Thanks mate! I'm in two minds about what to do. I really don't need anything big at the moment, and probably for the forseeable, so my little Promethean combo is great, but I fancy a change. Really considering going for a MiBass 220 head and a Mi12 cab, although, if they're 12" MiCombo appears anytime soon, that might be a sensible option... Cheers, Eude
I use the MiBass 550 too. It's a great amp-it took the place of my Genz Benz. Cab wise,I'm still using my Bergantino HS410,while I'm waiting for the new MiBass cabs.
What's the build quality like on the MiBass heads? Oh, and is there an ETA on the MiBass cabs? The product photos have changed on the website but very little else, they were meant to be here months ago... Cheers, Eude
I can't believe how cool my P looks in this pic what with it being all black and white and that. I built this don't you know? Well done me!
There is an undeniable elegance to it mate
That's a cracker. I ordered the first lefty from Alan a few years ago (AGC 15) but I got carried away and ordered a 6 string. I traded it on as I couldn't get use to such a wide board. It sounded and played beautiful, I miss it.
That is one hell of a lovely bass. If it helps, it's in very good hands, Andrew uses every note on every string, give or take a couple!
I will order a very simple bass from Alan, soon, been thinking about the spec for over a year.
I look forward to seeing what you've come up with mate

Looks like a great bash you lot! I'll definitely be there next time, I spent the whole weekend doing DIY in a desperate attempt to get our new house closer to habitable for the arrival of baby no.1. It was painful reading all the fun flooding my inbox, bar all the M25 shenanigans, I don't envy any of you that! Good work fellas and thank you all for sharing your pics too Eude
