So after a lot of uncertainty I've finally decided to put my Thumb bass up for a sale. This was (and tonally still is) my dream bass however due to a recent house move and me being stupid when lifting laminated flooring I've seriously screwed up my lower back and shoulders. From taking the advice of many members on here I've decided to not risk making it any worse. Anyway, to the bass! This is a 2006 NT5 Thumb bass made in Germany Serial Number : D-124582-06 Description: Thumb Bass, 5-string Natural Oil finish Bubinga Pommele body Ovangkol neck Black hardware Condition is excellent as it's been well looked after (and infact has spent most of it's time with me in the case). I will include a Warwick handbook with this (the great big folder they give you) and some beeswax. I don't currently have any scales in this flat but if I remember correctly the bass weighs around 5.2/5.3 kg but I found that depending on what strap you were using the neck dive was either non-existent or horrendous (with a Levi leather strap I got no neck-dive). I'm open to trade ideas but please no 4 stringers, Fender, passive basses or P-basses as I just can't get on with either of them. Dingwall NG-2 is something I have my eyes on if anybody wishes to trade theirs! I do not have a case for this unfortunately as I only have one and use it for my ACG but will be very well packaged if I am having to post it. Based in Motherwell but could come into Glasgow if required. Any questions just ask t

All I can really say to this is that I wouldn't be prepared to risk my hearing for the sake of someone else.

I was 50 weeks on the dot waiting for my ACG. i was a horrible wait but well worth it!

Tonight's gig was...weird and enjoyable. My band (funk/proggy rock) get hired for a weird amount of metal gigs and tonight was one if those gigs. Never sold many tickets etc but had a great time overall with many compliments from people in the audience (majority of which probably never listen to anything other than metal). I had a lot of compliments but like most of us here I came across a bit of a twat when replying to them!

Never used the COG but unless it seriously impressed me (which I don't doubt it probably would!) B3K is my choice

Who's the finest luthier in all of...um....luthiery?
Cameronj279 replied to Funky Dunky's topic in Bass Guitars
I think if money was no object I'd go for a Carl Thompson. Although a Dingwall to my specs or a fan fret Über ACG would be on my list. -
If I get a spare hour I'll try and record some quick clips for you. Bit of a big if at the moment though!

Always loved his solo stuff and really enjoyed the Faceless' last album. E-mailed him about getting a lesson when he was on tour a year or two back but the gig got cancelled due to visa 'issues'. Shame!

Free Primus Manchester ticket (todays show)
Cameronj279 replied to Cameronj279's topic in General Discussion
Alternatively, any Manchester BC'ers got a spare room for the night?
Not an option sadly, too much work needing done around the flat -
Would love to try one of these! Congrats and such

Sorry mods if this isn't allowed but trying to get this to someone if possible (I do know it's a long shot though). I'm in motherwell (ML1 Postcode area) and have a ticket for what is now todays Primus show in Manchester. Due to getting the keys to a new flat on Friday and realising that flooring alone is around £1k I can't afford the hotel price. So if you can pick up the ticket from motherwell today and get yourself to the show you're welcome to come get it free of charge! Gutted about missing the show but must prioritize! Cameron
Watch it, buster.
Only place I've been where I permanently felt in danger. didn't like it one bit! On another note. I have to sell my ticket for the Manchester show unfortunately. happy to post next day recorded.

Not normally the kind of thing I like but that make me think funny thoughts.
Ha, you mustn't worry about that. I'll bring the freakshow circus with me next time
I have plenty of time to work up the courage!
-
No, they don't, but that's just my ears talking and I only have experience of the non-reverse Did you not have a shottie of my NR at Moffat?
I did not! I shall next year though. The funny shapes intimidated me I think

This may be a stupid question but bear in mind I know nothing at all about Thunderbird basses. Do they naturally sound very muddy and fuzz effected or is that a sound coming from the amp?
W150615 is born... ...available to pick up in two weeks time
That looks considerably better than I was expecting expecting... and I was expecting it to look pretty amazing!

Remember you can cut as well as boost. Spent years only ever using the EQ controls as boosts and recently had the revelation that cutting also works wonders! Also take a spare 9v in your gig bag/case

help identify the Corvette I just bought...?
Cameronj279 replied to goonieman's topic in Bass Guitars
Ignore this. I'm stupid and keep reading everything except the one relevant line! -
As long as the pedal worked fine I wouldn't bother too much. Although as Discreet said, people do seem a bit relaxed with their packaging. I'd send a polite pm stating that the packing wasn't really suitable but thanks etc etc

Just wanted to show this off. Status tinted neck
Cameronj279 replied to Jimryan's topic in General Discussion
I don't blame you for wanting to show it off! I have a weird thing for blue sparkle finishes on basses. -
You'll regret it!
I know but I'm moving out of parents house house for the first time in a few weeks so I may need to buy boring things such as carpets or electricity
There is just nothing like them.
Exactly. I can get a close approximation to just about any tone from my ACG imaginable but I can't even come close to the sound of my Warwick. Shame I think I'm going to have to sell it soon.
