Suppose I can revive this thread for a bit. Also. This is my 1000th post

Super easy deal with Dean...actually probably my quickest sale on here! Happily deal with Dean again. Cheers for sending some pics of your Shuker course build bass too
Are you sure that was what he/she said? Lovely bass in all seriousness. Will confess to lusting after an Uber spec ACG after playing the blue ART finish Recurve, like Eude said great the way every note is so well defined.
I imagine so. I'm used to being called a tool so I usually recognise that phrase
-
I'd agree with you there. Also find that because of that every nuance in your playing is audible. Which if anything I find will help me even out my playing and be more critical of it, which is a good thing for me at least!
Complete and utter Filth! I'm extremely jealous of course. Congrats mate. How're you enjoying those amazing pickups? Eude
Loving them so far. Haven't had too much of a chance to play with it at volume but punchy as a punchy thing so far but can be dialled to a smooth thump with ease. The neck is the thing I'm most impressed by I think. Just plays effortlessly

I got this case two days ago so it's as near as makes no difference brand new (says me of course). Reason for selling it is that I already have a Mono Vertigo case and I prefer that case if I'm honest (although the M80 has more storage and looks considerably nicer IMO). These seem to go for around the £150 mark (Amazon) so £120 posted seems reasonable and around the going rate (let me know if I'm wrong of course!) I'm just going to post a link to the specs from the Mono website as there is too much to copy/paste on here and keep the post legible. http://monocreators....ass/#dimensions Great cases but I just have no need or space for it. £120 posted (not sure how I'd go about posting but I can work it out!) Possible trades +/- cash as appropriate : Zoom B3 Delay pedals Octave pedals Any questions just ask Cameron

I can't find much information about this (and I'm totally clueless so looking at the thing to get more information means nothing to me). All I can be sure of is that it's a John East SPM-02 I'm sure if you pop John East a message he'll be able to tell you all you need to know! There's a lot more info on Johns website although none of it makes sense to me in all honesty! http://www.east-uk.c...02-modules.html This comes boxed and does not contain any of the knobs. Sold for £45 posted

The board really is something else. I love the two tone effect it has, really goes with the curves of the body* * I could just be making things up for during my while staring at it.
That whole bass looks like lava!! Very powerful in the right hands though!
I always liked how the fretboard wood flowed up the neck, does look a bit fiery! and that was my thoughts exactly, given enough time spent with it it'll be a great all round tool
-
My experience with a Wal involves listening to Tool over and over again but I have no doubt that this can get those tones if the knowledge of the preamp allows it!

Had this ACG on order for a while and picked it up yesterday and gigged it last night (with 3 compliments and one "you sound like that bloke from tool"). Top Wood: Burl Redwood • Body Wood: Black Limba • Accent: Purpleheart • Body Finish: Satin Lacquer • Neck Wood: 5 piece Purpleheart/Maple/Wenge • Fingerboard: Acrylic Impregnated Spalt Maple with EVO fret wire. • Head Plate: Burl Redwood, Back Plate: Black Limba, Heel : Black Limba • Pickups: ACG MC5 plus standard interface boards.

• Hardware: ACG/Hipshot bridge,Gotoh GB350 Resolites,Schaller Straplocks,DR Strings, Luminlay side dots,Low battery indicator. • Pre-amp: ACG DFM 4K.
I've had a brief play about with it and the preamp is extremely versatile and can see myself getting an extremely large amount of tones from it once I understand it fully. One thing I have noticed in my short time with it is that each pickup provides great tones when used on their own. I've never played a bass where I liked the sound of the neck pickup solo until now. The neck is an absolute joy to play and found last nights set so much easier to play on this compared to my Warwick. Will hopefully try and get some sound examples when I know the preamp a bit better. anyway, onto the good part. Sorry for my crappy photography, natural light is sparse round these parts.
I like Superdry t-shirts. According to one ex BC member that makes me the scummiest chav imaginable!
I also like Superdry t-shirts...I also a most exclusively wear Adidas trainers. think I'm doomed really.
Sounding good min!
Thank ya! If you get a gig in Glasgow I'll try and pop in
Guess I'm in. Can I [s]buy[/s] have a ciggie off anyone?
fixed

Meant to post this earlier but been too busy (read: I forgot). My band are playing in Bungalow, Paisley tomorrow night supporting Australian band Osaka Punch (think Mars Volta, Electric Six and Mr Bungle lovechild). Tis a great venue and only £3 a ticket. Enough marketing but here is a demo thing we done a while back! Full set is mostly funk-rock type nonsense https://soundcloud.com/goon-and-the-kings/dark-side Cameron
It looks awesome... you'll have to do an NBD thread when it arrives and make us all jealous
Shall do. Will try and get some sound samples if I can (read: if everybody ignores my awful playing)
-
Wohoooo!
My thoughts exactly!
-
I don't think you'll be unhappy - I love my SC Harlot - thankfully Alan hasn't made too many others so it remains a rarity (for now anyway). Bet you can't wait...
Is that the one that has a few vids on YouTube? The Harlot shape has been appealing to me lately! As for the being disappointed...I was sent pictures of it and I can't wait. not often I get excited about things.

Picking this up on Friday. Excited doesn't cut it.
-
I can't say I've ever played to a large crowd (largest was maybe 100ish) but I find the less people watching the colder the reception. don't really get nervous at any gigs though (although I will on Fridays as we're doing a rather tricky song (mostly worried the drummer won't forget changes!))

How do you have your volume control ?
Cameronj279 replied to LITTLEWING's topic in General Discussion
Volume up full on the bass and control dynamics with my playing.Works best for me and saves fiddling with volume controls. Also find this easiest when playing songs that have a lot of loud and soft sections. -
Duracells for me too. No issues with them since I've been playing bass.
No p bass, but I drive this, which I'm pretty sure qualifies me here
I'm not sure of the rules but I'd say you definitely qualify.
