I've had good success with a wired setup utilising an Art MyMonitor box or Rolls PM50. Either give your a 'more me' volume control for your mic along with a volume control for whatever mix you have coming from the board. As a starter for 10 it works well. I used Shure SE215's so no where near the quality that you can get. The 6 piece horn line in my function band have all just moved over to Rolls PM50's with a shared mix and that's working well for them as well. Just three more band members to convince now... :-)

PJB Bighead with PJB headphones and music via an iPad app is working for me. (Also works with an iPhone) I'm using an app called Anytune which allows you to vary tempo and pitch as well as set loops within the song to practice with etc as well as a step change function for practicing tricky passages and then speeding up slightly in increments which you can set. I'm using a tablet stand from Ikea which keeps it all nice and compact.

I'm just north of Bristol (Kingswood, Nr Wooton-under-Edge) but travel in reasonably frequently. Happy to help if needed. Cheers, Pete.

I bought a mixer flight case on behalf of the singer in my band. Can I ask a stupid question? How do you remove the original metal end pin. The one on my bass (Thomann model 22) pulls out to its max extension and then goes no further. Am I missing something obvious? :-) Pete.
