1. It goes without saying that I'll consider 'sensible' offers
2. Hi All I've realised that a slight overinduldgence on my part has meant that I have this effectively brand new, mint condition Genz Benz NeoX 212 cab sat it it's box not doing anything. Essentially I purchased this hoping to be making much use of it gigging, but so far I've not needed to use it as I have always gigged with PA support. I have therefore purchased 2 112 cabs to give me more flexibility and am putting the GB 212 cab up for sale. It comes boxed, and with an amp cover from Roqsolid covers. It has only been used a couple of times in the house. Never taken to a rehearsal or gig. Specs are as follows (taken from www.genzbenz.com ):- Power Handling RMS: 600W Frequency +/- 3db: 42-18K Hz Sensitivity 1W/1M: 101db Nomonal Impedance: 4 ohm Crossover Point: 4 K Hz Weight Lbs: 62 Dimensions HxWxD: 31" x 21 1/4" x 16 1/2" A compact, dual 12" design that drives with the heart of a 4 x 10" enclosure. The coupling of the 2 Neodymium loudspeakers along with the X porting of the cabinet combine to project round, solid, explosive performance on any stage. The lightweight design, "Edge-Lift" handles and tilt-back casters make traveling with this NEO a breeze. See the reviews at Harmony central. I'm looking for £450 (Was £500) collected from Bristol. Am willing to meet up to an hour or so's drive from Bristol if that helps. Thanks for looking. Pete
3. As a relative noob, this sounds like a great idea. Cound me in. Cheers Pete

Bill
Hi Bill Yes, it's still available. I'm either in Kingswood or Stoke Park (next to the UWE) if that helps? PM me for mobile or email contact details if you like. Cheers Pete
5. Hi All For sale, CTech Pocket Rockit amp for Bass. This is the original shaped unit with Chorus effect. Identical to the attached unit except the supplied headphones say 'Pocket Rock-it' father than 'CTech' on the side. As new condition, comes with original box instructions and battery. Purchased in July 2007 and really only used a couple of times since I went on to buy a decent practice amp, so it's just been sitting in it's box. £30 shipped or collection from Bristol for £25 Cheers Pete
6. Hi Dave From yet another Bristol guy! Churz Pete
7.
What's OFPF?
One Finger Per Fret My book started off with 4 fingers covering 3 frets which is apparently comfortable to get a good groove going, but now I'm trying to look at some of the scales and exercises spanning accross 4 frets, it's a bit of a stretch. The book talks about pivoting your hand slightly. I guess I just need lots of practice... Mr Foxen. I'm in Stapleton, but am in Kingswood quite often. I'll send you a PM and hopefully we can set something up. Cheers! Pete
8. Hi All Just wanted to register and say hi, as I've been lurking here for some weeks and really appreciate some of the good information to be found. I'm a sax player by trade, currently playing in a Bristol based 14 piece funk, soul, blues band (www.bringdownthehouse.org) but have found myself strangely drawn to the lower frequencies. (Possibly a sign is that I started on alto sax in the band 5 years ago and now play tenor and bari for them ) Anyway, I picked up a second hand bass earlier in the year and am teaching myself using the Hal Leonard books to start with. I am looking to get some lessons starting in the next couple of months, so if anyone has good recommendations for bass teacher in the Bristol area, please let me know. I'm currently struggling with OFPF fingering. It's a bit of a stretch!! Any reccomendations to make this easier? Gear is curently an SSD NS4 through a Roland Cube 100. My aim at the moment is to get out and play my first gig on bass by March 2008 Cheers Pete
