Yes and No! I have 2 fretless 4 strings and a 5er. I would like an acoustic bass but sadly don't have the money at present to buy one That will be remedied once I get another job! I don't play fretted that much. The acoustic will be fretless when I get one

Hi Mark I'll bring my Rogue fretless. It will give anyone a chance of seeing that a cheap fretless can be fun! I will also bring my Orange Crush 50w combo if you need some 'quiet' amplification . I don't have anything super cool like your Dingwall but I have a couple of fake Fenders if they are of interest? At my daughters 18th the band were all friends of mine. They did the gig for free (well beer and food ) Very professional, 5 piece band who set up in an hour and then settled down to enjoy the evening before performing two 1 hour sets. They were out in 30 minutes at the end of the evening. I'm in an acoustic duo so I'm set up in 20 minutes (PA / Bass Amp / 4 guitars / 2 stools) back out in 10 minutes! Practise makes for a quick setup / break down

My bass case came with one in it so I leave in in there. They all have a warning of 'Do Not Re-use, Throw Away' on them. I use a bowl of salt in my studio. It seems to work. I dry it out and re-use. (could put some in a semi permeable membrane bag - same effect?)

I then did a comparison using some software to capture the sound wave. The pick gave a more solid wave, so I guess its true. I just didn't believe it........

This is a great thread I thought I was the only fan (thus keeping my keyboard silent!) I've been a Dylan fan since I was a kid (back in the 70's lol)

Currently in a duo as the 4 piece broke up I like power trio's (Cream etc) but prefer playing with 2 gtrs / bass / drums with one of the gtrs doubling as a singer
