1. Chris bought my Avalon U5 in a smooth transaction with fast payment and good communication. Enjoy!
2. OK, he's my nephew, but I think this latest composition shows maturity beyond his nineteen years. Nice playing too. Doesn't rush, just builds nicely.. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=943070782447384&id=785044424916688
3. Thanks BT. I'm thinking that maybe a Future Impact is more what I'm after
4. I don't think it's the same Crest who make the toothpaste...
5. When you say that the K Pad is an effects unit with an input, could it be used just like a bass guitar effects pedal to play synthy sounding basslines?
6. I'd be interested in one that you could run a bass through. Anyone got a link? What's the tracking like?
7.
Nottingham Contemporary last night. Stand-in drummer was brilliant, crowd were great:
Nice review of this gig: http://fms-mag.com/ujahm-nottingham-contemporary/
8. Nice review of the last gig http://fms-mag.com/ujahm-nottingham-contemporary/
9. I'm using it more and more these days - I really hope it doesn't go 😕 I will subscribe if the cost is reasonable
10. David St Hubbins AND Nigel Tufnell on Big Bottoms. Does that count?
11. These are spot on for the Shuttle 6.. http://www.bandland.co.uk/pa-bags-cases-c-80_154/gator-gmixb1212-padded-mixer-bag-p-3177.html?gclid=COfL5NTx8MoCFSQTwwodHSsNuA You should be able to see from the dimensions listed whether it would fit 5he max
12.
Amazing set of skills on display here. Great arrangement, great, musicality. But... Umm... Am I the only one that thinks, yeah, it's all very technical and the like... but the original still grooves a lot harder? Substitute the feck out of the chords and everything, obligatory horns and chromatic runs, syncopations... Just cos you can, doesn't mean you should. Or is it just me?
It's not just you
13. you don't have to join an established band if you feel that's too much of a leap - advertise for a starter band and see where it goes - once you find people you get on with,I guarantee it will reignite your passion for playing. Do it. Do it.
14.
Are you in a band? If not join one now!
Pretty much what I was just about to post
15.
Agreed. It's about having a laugh at how we often say one thing but mean something quite different. No attendence expectations/non-attendance annoyance here
= "I think you missed the point of the thread, ya grumpy git"
16. Cheers Grahame. In the year I've had it, not one single gig without PA support -I can't unleash the beast! I'll miss the oceans of headroom though.
17.
It's not all about us, you know.
Agreed. It's about having a laugh at how we often say one thing but mean something quite different. No attendence expectations/non-attendance annoyance here
18. = "I'm definitely not coming to your gig"
19. It was a relief to click on the link and not find lots of fretless mwah mwah melodic soloing. This is my kind of fretless - rhythmic and funky. There is an important lack of sustain with this type of playing that a fretless board adds to nicely. Thanks for the link.
20. Nice!
21. The Avalon pre has now sold so this needs to go. Sensible offers considered
22. Sold pending payment
23.
I also PM'd two days ago
Sorry, forgot about your latest offer. Will reply now
24.
Pm'd
Soz Marcus, was a bit woozy last night when I got your message. Will reply after I've had a coffee
