That nut is shockingly bad, look at the string spacing!

I own a Squier strat and its a nice guitar actually! And being a Peavey fan I actually want to own one of the higher up Raptor models one day, but these should be fine too, maybe even better than the Squier!

Personally, I like seeing lots of gear behind the band My approach to my own gear though is to try and make it as easy as possible to carry my own into the venue. I've got it down to two quick trips now! Trip 1: Backpack with amp, tools and leads, two basses in one hand, pedalboard in other Trip 2: Carry 4x10 in on my own Job done!

If it was me, I would look at used Peavey and Ashdown cabs. a 4x10 can usually be had for £100 or less!

£325? That's the combined cost of three of my basses I know what I'd rather have!

I see you have a Sansamp and a VT Bass! You can get a fantastic sound with Markbass heads through a Barefaced S12 with them! If you want something more aggressive though I would lean towards the TC or the Orange (though compared to the other options the OTB is pretty big!)

D'Addario Prosteels! My previous favourites were Elites Stadium Series, and Ernie Ball slinkies. You can't go wrong with those three! Rotosounds are pretty damn popular too.

As above, Peavey Grinds are fantastic instruments. My first 6er was one of the Shine ones with two humbuckers. Also a great bass!

I like the tighter feel you get from through body stringing, due to the sharper angle past the saddles. I find if I play real hard with bridge stringing on SOME bridges, the strings can pop off the saddles. The classic Fender style ones don't have this problem though.

It can't hurt! My incoming bass doesn't have the option to string through the body so I'll be able to see what it feels like with less compliance! I like fiddling with things like string gauges, action, strap height... it's much cheaper than swapping out pedals, amps and basses

I've bought a couple of pedals from here without pics, would do the same with strings and other accessories... but with things like basses, amps and cabs it's essential to have a photo. I've only ever had one sale go bad on here, and that was thanks to the postman playing footy with the package or something like that.

I like that! Nice and full, I guess the skinny strings = thin tone thing is a total myth! Nice playing too, that's one filthy bassline
