1. We've done 3 hours a couple of times before, and everyone considered it to be a ridiculously long time. Me included!! We generally do either one straight 2 hour set or an hour followed by a break then 90 minutes
2. The cross on the headstock is majorly tacky... But I think the rest of it is really quite nice!
3. Bought a Levy's strap from this fellow last week. Sent the money Thursday night and it arrived at my door on Saturday morning. Awesome!
4. I've got to say, Elixir steels are the best strings I've ever used... My first set lasted me one year and I'm quite 'clumsy' with my right hand!!
5. I don't think I could live without a bridge pickup! And since the modern player jazz has a humbucker at the neck instead of a weedy jazz pickup that would be my first choice!
6. Gorgeous bass and rig, I can only imagine how great it sounds cranked. Congratulations!
7.
There will be someone along in a minute to disabuse you of this notion
4x10s are much beefier!
8.
Chord do a 1mm nylon plectrum the same as dunlops on ebay £9 for 50, they are fantastico
That's awesome! Dunlop Nylon 1mms are the best I've ever used
9. Something about the headstock makes me think this isn't a genuine fender...
10. Real bassists play with their fingers.
11. If it was me, and I didn't use pedals, I would go for a compressor / noise gate. That would be one perfect rack!!
12.
You could get a second hand epifany or markbass 410 for that sort of money.
I just bought a Markbass 4x10 for £349!
13. I wouldn't be comfortable tuning up more than a semitone. In my covers band all the drop B stuff the band play I just use a 6 string in BEADGC tuning and it works fine
14. I actually don't think I've ever ordered from Thomann
15. Best to give it a bash yourself. Last time I took a pedal into a shop to get the footswitch fixed it cost me £30... Which sucked because the pedal was given to me for free!
16.
I have an Ampeg pre amp up for sale
http://basschat.co.uk/topic/240507-fsft-ampeg-preamp-svt-ii-p-price-drop-l200-bargain/page__fromsearch__1 Looks good man!
17. I cheat and use tabs. Guitar Pro is good
18. Behringer BDI21 maybe? It's basically a pretend Sansamp, which is a pretend SVT in a DI box that you can pick up for like £20!
19. Bugera amps are like Behringer's "boutique" brand. Yes, they sound GREAT, but quality control is not so great. I would say its worth the money, but make sure that you have some kind of back up even if its just a DI
20.
I bet this chap wished he was picking Victor Wooten up from the airport rather than a Thrash Metal band
Hahaha! I have this guy on facebook and the amount of times he's been tagged in this photo is driving him mental
21. These are extremely good straps. Every single one of my basses has one on!!
22. Bloody hell, that would require some patience I just acquired AntLockyer's Harley Benton one and used it on a gig on Saturday night. Incredibly impressed with it!

8 x 10's

I used a modular 6x10 rig for a couple of months. Great for being able to hear yourself on stage if you have to stand really close to it, and big amps always look good!
24. Bump! I'm also selling the Peavey BAM combo for £350 (it has the same style grill so looks great as a full rig). I'd be happy to do a deal on the two together!
