1. When Going For The One came out, with punk in full flight, the title track was bursting with energy, yelling "we're still here!". This, however, was..... meh. Edit: this, as mentioned earlier, is more like it!
 2.
Love the fact that a few weeks ago I had 'no use' and then I needed four 😂
It took a few weeks to find a couple of knobless Yammies, then? ;-)
 3.
I really like them! I have no use for them whatsoever
I love these too!
 4. http://www.goldfinchpianos.com/pianos/the-crystal-piano/ That one was made for Liberace but he rejected it as too gaudy
 5. Hi Guys, I'd like to stop my machine (Win 8.1) from doing stuff like running virus scans and downloading updates. Would this be as simple as suspending the networking and AV services? From a quick search, it looks like I could write an "airplane mode" script using a series of sc commands.... any thoughts? (I'm a dab hand at *nix scripting but am purely a user when it comes to Windows.)
 6. I feel cheated. From the thread title, I was expecting something more.... sapphic.
 7.
Take TWO bottles into the studio?? Not me - I just record and go!
That comment stands head and shoulders above some of the others on this thread... Edit: apparently it's normal to have more than one shoulder.
 8.
Mike is a monster. He has played with Billy Cobham, Trilok Gurtu, John McLaughlin, Django Bates, Iain Ballamy and many more. His own trio with his brother, called MGM until they were threatened with litigation, were interesting (I saw them supporting Bill Bruford's Earthworks in the 1990s). And a nice guy to talk to also, very approachable.
And Annette Peacock!
 9. Fresh towels and plenty of hot water.
 10.
TBH, I haven't read the whole thread, but surely you mean "All HAIL Chris Wolstenholme" not "HALE", as in to cheer or salute him, instead of him being free from infirmity or illness... ? There's always one pedant eh?
If you had read the whole thread, you would have discovered that there's always more than one pedant!
 11. Ah, memories... my parents buying their first radiogram (stereogram?) and borrowing LPs from the the neighbours to play on it. Red Polydor label...

 13. Some interesting thoughts on the role of BBC Radio here: http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/jun/09/radio-1-apple-attack-nick-grimshaw-zane-lowe-spotify
 14. Have you asked this guy?
 15.
Maybe, but I wouldn't bank on it.
I might have once, but now I've lost interest.
 16.
Good job it was not RBS as they got nearly Busted.
As RBS are/were Scottish, would that be McBusted?
 17.
Not been auto-rejected. Previously he'd set a limit so that all small offers were automatically rejected by the system without him seeing the offer. Now it seems that this is not happening, and he'll see all the offers. If he does accept my bid, then my use for the 'bass' would be as a booby raffle prize for the next Midlands Bass Bash. Last I heard, he was expecting in the very high hundreds or over a thousand for this ... thing.
Phew! I like the idea of the raffle... I can imagine this turning into some sort of alternative bass relay: you're it!
 18. Yep, the BBC has a duty to cover as much of the spectrum as it can. Scarily, the new "Culture" secretary is a sworn enemy of the BBC :-(
 19.
Price now reduced to 'only' £50,000. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item43de0171c9 EDIT: Odd, my offer of £51.75 has not been automatically rejected.
Not been rejected? So you soon could be the proud new owner of this, er, this... this fine piece of the art of the luthier?
 20.
Wonder if the Duke of York has a memory of his ten best
COL (chuckle out loud)
 21. In London, October: http://thevelvetonion.com/2015/06/04/brian-pern-live/ I'm there, dude!
 22.
"the best ten doors I ever hung"
Was Jim Morrison well hung? #coat
 23.
Do they give you the chords or have you just got to do it by ear?
They thorough test your character by putting tab on a music stand and gauging your reaction...
 24.
Does asking myself out loud on here count?
Don't ask me....
 25. This is all electric. I think one of them has an octave divider :-(
