  1. I am giving this some thought as an option. New plate and an Aguilar 60s wind Pickup could be perfect.
  2. I think the Glockenklang pre is a bit better than tuppeny halfpenny!
  3. Reading about this one. Seems like it’s noise cancelling but not a stack. Side by side coils. More like a P pickup. Might have to try that!
  4. Is there such a thing? Or at least are there any that sound closer to a P than others? I’m loving my Sandberg Superlight but my current gig works better with a P. I’m hoping to get the Sandberg closer in tone without getting a router out. Any ideas? Or maybe a preamp swap to a 3 band to push the mids a bit?
  5. Set it in the middle. Yes that is a 50/50 mix, but that is actually 100% clean signal mixed equally with 100% wet. It doesn't cut down either of them.
  6. The Marcus models certainly do that. I've hardly touched my DG since I got the Marcus.
  7. I did have a TecAmp (same as Eich) but I sold it. Found to was too clean and I like clean for my current gig. So now I have a Darkglass M900 and a Markbass Marcus Limited (Gold & Red). Very different, but both work well. The Darkglass does a very good clean too - and the V2 models have a compressor built in. But it's a lot more money than the Markbass. The TecAmp just sounded dull and lacking with that cab.
  8. Teenagers. Every word really means something during teenage years!
  9. New demo up! What an amazingly thick and chewy sound!
  10. I manage that close enough with a Digitech BSW!
  11. Barefaced One10 cab. I run 1 with a 25 piece jazz band and it gets over it all easily - using a Markbass Marcus Limited 800W amp with it. The cab is super light - only about 7kg. As long as I'm inside (sometimes do some outdoor gigs) then 1 is all I need. The Two10 is about 13kg. Still loads under the weight of your existing cab,
  12. Aye. Now expected at end November.
  13. Loving the pink 5 string!
  14. Unless you bought it directly from them it should go back to the shop you got it from. PJ is quite active on facebook though. Try there?
  15. I couldn't find it either.
  16. I entered a similar one years ago. £20 but the top prize was an Aston Martin. Needless to say I didn't win. Shame really, think of all the basses I could have bought when I sold it!
  17. Ooof GuitarGuitar have them for preorder at £1799.00 https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/191106350870008--gl-usa-fallout-bass-racing-yellow-with-black-racing-stripe That's a nope from me.
  18. I thought this would be about Darryl Dawkins. Chocolate Thunder was his nickname.
  19. It's not analogue, but the Digitech BSW will do an amazing octave and it's tracking is the best I'be ever heard. Doesn't sound artificial like the Pogs either.
  20. Would the Elf be loud enough against a drummer and 24 horns and reeds?
  21. £179 on bass direct site.
  22. I asked a guy on YouTube and his was 9.2 lb. Too heavy for me, but if there are some 8lb ish ones there then I’m interested!
