  1. This thread is making me wonder about swapping my pair of One10 for a pair of SC. Anyone done that swap? I play old big band so to hear the SC works with an old RnB sound seems a good fit.
  2. Another cracker https://www.cocosbassment.com/
  3. That is right up my street! Thank you.
  4. Used Sandberg TT4 is a great option. Superb build quality, great sounds.
  5. Eich are super clean. Not much character at all. Great as a Poweramp or pedal platform but soulless on its own.
  6. 2012 American Special. slightly thinner body, lighter weight. About £600.
  7. You can spec that on Warmoth stuff.
  8. I've got one that I used to use on my stringray 5. It works very well. Comes with slightly longer screws for a good fit - make sure you keep the old ones for if you you remove it. I don't think anywhere outside of the USA stocks them - I think they direct sales / BBG / Ebay.
  9. Also - Behringer do a copy of the BDDI for about £35 It's almost indistinguishable from the original.
  10. Mooer Radar IR loader. Really cheap, really good.
  11. It's definitely 100 bigger!
  12. The demo of the 6 is ok, but seriously, I'd love to just hear someone play some actual bass lines on one. Aretha Franklin / Otis Redding / The Who / etc etc
  13. I've never tried one but I like Geezer's sound, and the core ABM sound. I was slightly put off by the removal of the compressor, but then again I cannot remember what the ABM compressor is like, let alone whether like it or not!
  14. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/b-stock-ashdown-geezer-butler-head-of-doom-signature-amp#product-details That's nearly half price! If I wasn't banned from buying shiny things at the moment I'd have tried that.
  15. If gigs remain banned I bet they'll be an exception for a band that writes songs praising Johnson.
  16. I doubt a shared microphone can be adequately sanitised with a spray. Would probably need disassembling and having the grill boiled and the foam behind it replaced.
  17. This thread makes me sad. I had the HA3500 for years and it never let me down. It was the heart of my original Rig of Doom handling all the mids + highs + FX. I didn't particularly like the LH500 I had for a while, but I really liked the Hydrive 4x10. Is their reputation in the USA in the toilet as well? Or are they still liked over there?
  18. Not a surprise though. And it looks like the customer is responsible for sanitising the space? What does it say after that?
  19. I've had both but not at the same time. I'm not convinced that's true. I think the cab would make far more difference to the top end
  20. 25 trumpets and trombones etc are loud.
  21. I gigged my single One10 loads. Against a loud drummer, and 25 horns and reeds. And with a 5 string. It's fine. And loud enough.
  22. I find the Marcus Miller versions to have a more sensible EQ.
  23. The VS4 passive - single P pickup, the proper way round, is considered a special order. Probably because they sell more of the others. The VT4 can be active or passive - the passive again being a special order. The P pickup is the wrong way round. Neck shapes across all the 4 strings (T and V types) are the same. For what it's worth - I'd be tearing out the big pole P pickup anyway and replacing it with something more traditional. Aguilar 60s wind for example. Easiest way of getting info is to joint the Sandberg page on facebook and send a message - Gregor (from the Bass the World youtube) will answer any questions you have. Or contact a dealer to get a quote - but IIRC built to order specs take about a year.
