SOLD

up for sale is my m82 filter bought from razee06 here a few months ago. was hoping it would be of use in one of my bands but didn't fit in the end. amazing filter - the separate effected and clean level controls mean at even extreme filter settings your speakers are safe ! boxed and in great condition - £80 incl postage to the uk SOLD to rpsequeira
4. i'd replace the preamp and/or pickups in the warwick. i had a similar feeling about my fortress...loved the feel of it but didn't get on with the sound. i got hold of some bartolini pickups and put a glockenklang pre and it's the business now.
5. anyone got any info about this ? a bass comp with a gain reduction meter...very interesting, especially how impressed i am with their bass envelope filter
6.
Thats very cool! I used to really like Pulp back in the day but I have never tried one all in good time....
bought from howard's (the bass doc ?) shop in newcastle in about 1997...i only popped in for some strings !
7. here's my late '79, early '80 sabre (the neck and body date differ by one month) ...also in the garden
8. i've been using a smps amp (a soundtech PS802) for quite a while with my ampeg pre. brilliant ! light and amazing bass response. i don't think you'll be disappointed
9. blimey... that's some serious wiring going on there. good work.
10.
The Sky's Gone Out!
seriously freaky album !!
11. it depends on the strength of the magnets, so try dropping them a little and seeing if the sound goes.
12. how close are the pickups to the strings ? if they're too close the magnetic field can affect the vibration of the strings, leaving to a wobbling or chorus-y sound

14. it's not cheap or that easy to get hold of, but the wounded paw battering ram is by far the best overdrive/fuzz pedal i've ever used. NO loss of bass, lovely overdrive to distortion and great fuzz too. the main downside is the cost and ordering one from canada. the upside is its ability to keep the low end intact, something i found amiss in most pedals, even those like the fulltone bass driver. EDIT: don't forget bassfuzz.com for a great round-up of the fuzzy end of bass.
15. as i've just upgraded my german streamer std with some new parts, i've got a 'rockbass style' bridge and a MEC pickup for sale. bridge is a little pitted, but works fine. the pickup is a little on the quiet side, but still sounds great bridge (with screws): £10 posted pickup: sold EDIT: i've also got the pickups and pre from a '94 fortress up for grabs as well if anyone's interested.
16. here's a couple of shots of my home studio...or the spare room as girlfren likes to call it there's a dual core PC using nuendo and ableton, running from an m-audio nrv-10, with midi link to an alesis d4 drum module, a roland jv-880 and also a ridge farm gas cooker valve DI (old skool !! ) does me fine. the spare bed adds an essential vibe too
17. never taken a backup myself.
18. so many warwicks... so little time good luck with the sale
19. if old horse murphy doesn't get back to me soon, this'll be £200 as is. where are you nick ?
20.
I get that they are to stop scratches appearing on your bass but I just find myself asking, who plays that chaotically that they hit the bass hard enough to scratch it there as opposed to anywhere else?
i do the scratchplate on my jazz is covered in scratches from where i've played chords heavily. and i don't see it as playing chaotically - it's just the way i play.
21.
I saw them a few years ago,and enjoyed it for about 10 minutes, and then got really bored.
i'm not sure i'd get bored...i just can't stand the singer's histrionic wail and sixth-form lyrics. /looks round room at everyone staring at him in silence/ i'll...um...get my...? yeah...ok... tatty bye
22.
Yup, he must have really well developed neck muscles.
/nods/
23.
I think it's more about the sort of tone you get from playing up there.... I do this when playing James Brown's Cold Sweat. You get a different tone and tension going on.... nothing 'beginner-ish' about it at all..
plus the one. i'm no huge muse fan (quite the opposite in fact), but i do appreciate what a wizard mr. wolstenholme is on bass so i've learned a few muse basslines for the exercise. hysteria sounds much better (to my ears) played around the 8ves rather than the lower positions - it's thicker and works better with fuzz. but each to their own.
24.
mmmmmmmmm.......Ritter
plus the one
