1.
You need something of at least 360W (it's written on the back panel of your amp )
maybe i should ahve looked at the pic, rather than trying to remember power factors from A-Level physics !!!!!
2.
would these do the trick? cheers for finding the specs for me dude
i'm no expert in power supplies, but the amp's rated at >100W. if you use a psu rated at 100V you may just see some magic smoke and a melted power supply IIRC...i'm very much willing to be corrected here.
3. if it were mine i'd see about getting the transformer replaced with a UK voltage one. swr make good amps. i have two
4.
Just back from London bass show at Olympia. Say no more
exactly why i wouldn't go to a bass show
5. the micro amp goes from unity gain up, you can't make your signal any quieter than it would be without the pedal.
6.
Maybe it's the shipping? Considering adding it, to see if that doesn't bring some people out of the wood work. Looks like a great bass, all told.
then i'd need to buy a guitar case !! tho, i think you're right... i would be prepared to travel, within reason, but i'd need to come to an arrangement with the buyer about fares.
7. d'addario 11's on my tele and jag.
8. i've just seriously pruned my attachements...like a kind of techie topiary.
9. buy my cowpoke !!
10. bump-a-roo
11. i winder what sei-z they are ?
12.
I have looked at several videos and listened to mp3s that I think are weak for one reason or another but I don't see it as my role to critique everything I see/hear on this forum, particularly if I think the material is poor.
plus the one. i've listened to a few things posted and they've done nothing for me, so i've not commented...
13. having tried out a fender vi* in a couple of bands i'd say that to get the full benefit, the music has to be written to make the best use of the bass/chordal approach. ymmv of course *i'm not going to get into the is it a baritone ? is it a bass ? here
14. sold andy a boss chorus pedal, and he's a lovely chap to deal with. proper dude !
15. bought an mxr flanger from AJ - lovely pedal, came very well wrapped. a credit to basschat.
16. PM'd re: digitech
17. they look very tasty...
18.
Regret to report that a single acoustic guitar will easily drown out an acoustic bass guitar - they just don't produce enough volume on their own.
plus the one. fine for solo practice, but if you're going to play with anyone else... you'll end up using an amp anyway.
19.
Distortion could be the result of a dying battery. Have you tried replacing it and seeing if you still get the same effects on the same settings?
plus the one, although the old mm preamps weren't exactly big on subtlety - they can have a huge output with the bass boosted, so i'd make sure it's not driving the inout of your amp too hard.
20.
If so it could mean my Sabre was never altered and everything is original (which I'm trying to determine).
as far as i know no sabre ever left the factory with the control set-up you have there...
21. well, the pickups in my fortress were quite weak, so i thought i'd change the front pickup to see what difference it made, and the 2nd hand bartolini i got really increased the output, but i still wasn't keen on the eq, so that's why i went the whole hog and changed both p-ups and the eq. i wasn't keen on the eq on the corvette $$ i had either, but oddly the one in my rockbass fretless sounds fine to me.
22. interesting. the pdf you attached is the same layout as my sabre, i could tell you if the phase and bright switches are the same as mine if you could take a shot of the underside of the control plate...
23. i've been playing the fortress for the last couple of hours and it sounds so much better than with the mec pre. only ~€100 from thomann too...
24. PM'd re micro flanger
