1. i'm using elixers at the moment, the same set for 6 months, but i kinda want a zing again so im probably get some good old ernie balls soon
2. how are these things dated??? and how is a buyer assured that he isnt buying fakes??
3. good stuff, the most obvious one i think Who needs a new black president when changes like these are happening
4. its a shame, i like the idea of this thread, but im still seeing overpriced listing threads being made in the forum..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rickenbacker-4001-Ba...%3A1|240%3A1318 hmm
5. crazy as it is, im really temted to buy the dha, despite selling pretty much the exact same model pedal a short while ago, i need a preamp...
6.
ya my settings are bass full, mid full, treble off that is the problem
yeah itl almost certainly be the bass being full thats the problem Just boost the bass using your amp instead
7. its the bass eq on the musicman that might be causing it, several effect iv owned in the past have distorted if iv had the bass boosted too much
8.
I honestly don't see what the fuss is about with all these fenders. To me a squier vintage modified jazz is a good bass, and paying £800 for a VERY similar passive bass with a simple JJ configuration just doesn't make sense to me when you could have something far far better.
welcome to the madness that is Vintage world
9.
I'll keep it on here as being available, but you have first dibs and I'll check back with you before I sell it to anyone else.
nice one
10. reet then i want this, but im gunna have to try n sell my trace combo first, since i dont practice with the volume any higher on the trace that this can probably get to, it makes sense to downgrade
11. bump, back for sale as i think this is too much for what i need. Not desperate to sell by any means, so its a firm £160 collected from Bristol. I dont think il ship it for now as, a) its a lot of hassle to package such a thing and, b ) as i say i dont need to sell it
12. does it have a line out??
13.
I think it's worth about £1000 as it's a Pro 1e, but that's only my opinion of course... The original case adds value which may put it's worth up, but the market is depressed at the moment, so that all has to be taken into account.
thinking about it id like to meet halfway at £1200. despite there being a depressed market, on ebay there will always be a buyer waiting to snap up a Wal bass of any sort, so its an awkard little bass to price.
14. profit time then I think around that yeah, dont see too many of the pro's going up for sale, mainly the mk's going for silly money on ebay.
15. i think around £1400????
16. this wont last long
17. So i thought, rather than have a million different threads saying 'oo this is too expensive', i though it would be a good idea to have 1 thread were various links could be put in to overpriced items that don't warrant a seperate thread. So il start off with this wonderfull boss metal zone: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Boss-MT-2-Metal-Zone...%3A1|240%3A1318 what planet is this shop on
18. sorry i misread your post, i thought you were after something subtle and insane. In that case, the bad monkey is great for adding some grit. The pd-7's modes were a cool idea, but they didnt pull if off for me, just too clicky, reminded me of fieldy's "tone"
19. try them both out at a music shop, they are both very marmite pedals. Some people hate the odb-3, mainly because they use it wrong (its best at low gain with the highs cut) but i think its great. But if your after 'insane' fuzz, i dont think either are suitable, perhaps consider a muff of some sort?
20. Kev

A/B

i just nabbed a boss ls-2 and its a great blender, no tone suck at all in my setup, and more flexible than alot of the more boutique blenders out there
21. id be tempted to say less, about £450
22.
Check these out! = http://www.auroraproject.co.uk/fret%20lights.htm
iv seen them before, but they look really, really bright. Anyone used them before to comment? id love to have blue side led's fitted to my status neck
23. hmm, sounds too complex, i think it would be just much easier making subforums for various categories, that could be decided by the mods or members via a poll.
24. take my example and go for both best part of a status and the best part of a stingray combined
25. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HAND-WIRED-TRAILER-T...%3A1|240%3A1309 Seriously, he must know that nobody would buy it surely?! Why would someone buy someone elses setup?
