1. tempted to bump into you at sainsburys and nab that chorus off you...
2. you sold an odb-3 to a music shop for £60?!!!!! What is the name of your local music store, f*** ebay i need to pay them a visit!
3. i personally think flea has a superb bass tone, and he slices through the mix live brilliantly. He also uses the boss odb-3, which everyone knows is the greatest overdrive ever produced.

All Sold

Out of interest, are those pedals really worth all the hype that surrounds them? They don't seem to last 10 minutes when they go up for sale, but the sound samples don't get me that excited. I'd love to try one out
5. trade offer still stands
6.
Hey I'm going to say no to the LMB You can get them for £30 new at some places if you look hard enough, my local music is doing 10% £35 for one so its like £30 new sorry
Then stop posting in this thread and buy it from your local music shop then!
7. okay, how about £90?
8. interested in a trade involving your blackfinger and my hellbilly?
9. for me, totally depends on the shape, neck and hardware of the bass, completely subjective. For example i love a sunburst finish on a jazz type, but think it looks rubbish on a stingray type. Im finding myself drooling over and fiesta red basses that come up lately, and iv always been a fan of white basses w/ maple fretboard.
10.
Oh, I can't help it now, you've got me going. The Wal website looks like some sort of Ikea/Habitat generic abomination made by a team of 6th formers on a Dreamweaver course. There's tiny little pictures that you click on ... only to bring up more tiny pictures. Their website puts me off ordering a new Wal even more than the actual price.
With all due respect, if a basic website puts you off buying a wal, i don't think you should be spending thousands of pounds on a bass. When talking about this kind of money, its all about telephone calls/emails/meeting in person, not clicking 'click to enlarge', 'view details' and 'add to basket' on a website I very much doubt there wil be many visitors to the website who don't know what a wal bass is about, so a basic site is all that is needed, for the time being at least.
11.
Surely that's the entire point of running a business? If someone asked me whether I wanted to do the same job for £50k a year that I was doing for £15k before, I would jump at it.
perhaps i am naive and like to think there are more luthiers out there who care more about music than money Anyway, i can see where this kind of arguement can go so lets nip it in the bud. Its great for people who really want the Wal sound, but IMO too expensive for somebody who simply wants a quality custom bass.
12. any places left at £185?
13. at that kind of starting price, you are paying for the brand. You could get a superb bass for half the likely final price from the likes of Shuker or similar, and i doubt the quality difference would be noticible. Great to see them in production though, just a shame they have followed the trend of needing to make such a large profit margin. No different from anyone else though i guess, tis the nature of the business these days
14. that BLX is a steal at £50, bloody brilliant amps, and louder than most amps double its wattage
15. bump Had a couple of trade offers, and a couple more offered by me, but as of yet, very much available
16. iv seen 09's in worse condition than that, quite remarkable.
17. the neck pocket is too large, but the neck wont budge when screws are out? What is it glued on or something?
18.
maybe the bass whammy doesn't either if there is no difference...
fair point, never actually tried one so that could well be the case! My apologies if it is
19.
I have Whammy bass II and the Bass Whammy, and there isn't any difference between one or the other in a sound question. No more bass frequencis on one or the other, nothing. It's totally incredible. Only differences are some presets
thats strange, my whammy II didn't track bass notes below A at all.
20. how much? take it to pm if you would rather
21. oh man that EBS MetalDrive sounds horrible in such a good way! gasss
22. always wanted to try an FM4, only have the Hellbilly to trade at the moment though. Does anyone know of any music shops in bristol who stock these?
23. Ok mate, I'm up for the trade so get in touch if you don't get a buyer
24. il also throw in a free behringer bass eq pedal to sweeten any deal
25. thats a very cool sound, almost certainly not made by one pedal Maybe a filter or some kind of modulation is involved, mixed with his marshall guvnor original Anyways, the hellbilly wont make that sound, still makes a mean overdrive and fuzz though
