1.
Shellac is your friend.
That could be exactly what it is. It can't be a wax or oil as it just, for want of a better description, looks like it has a thin finish on it. We'll see how it lasts! Cheers guys.
2. Cracking pedal, reckon this was mine not so long ago. Has the voicing of the B3K without the drive, so works great as an EQ pedal and after other overdrive pedals to get that awesome tone. Can't go wrong!
3.
Nothing 'ltd' about that bass at all! I recently saw a SSI advertised similarly as a 2002 'Anniversary' model (i.e. 20 years after they started) but it was NOT in any way limited... it was simply produced 20 years after their first one!
I saw that and chuckled to myself! This is indeed a standard FNA Jazzman, perhaps he meant discontinued? Edit: Oops, just read the rest of the description, he is just wrong Maybe he thinks Jazzmans are normal and FNA Jazzmans are LTD? Who knows!
4. The Aurora strings? They sound like steel, but I was looking for that before I bought and didn't see that they specify.
5. 8 days left? Nothing to get excited about yet. If it does stay under £1200 or so it will be a good deal. Otherwise, for a single pickup pro, not so much I wonder how much Wal would charge to fit a bridge pickup and a filter pre, as it is a lovely example.
6. Wish you were local, why someone hasn't took a punt on this is beyond me!

Xmas FX

Took delivery of a new B7K today, missed mine so much I had to order another! Got a nice surprise too, as Doug/Spencer have revised the design a little. Looks very slick, EQ is in the right order and they have added an additional Attack setting so it is now a 3 way switch. very welcome addition to me as I always felt it was a bit too bright on the old Attack boost setting, the new settings are cool! Can now either have it set flat, boost the lower treble range or boost the presence. Footswitch seems even quieter, if that is possible! Works so well with Intertia
8. Have you tried EQ'ing your amp to get that mid control you need? Like Luke, I would be a little surprised if changing the preamp on the bass would help on stage if changing your backline didn't.
9. And another http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225946-fs-digitech-bass-whammy-rare/page__pid__2324403#entry2324403 When is the bass whammy due to be out, any word?
10. I had the generic response of using beeswax or lemon oil, neither of which would give the sheen it has. I think it has a finish on it that will probably wear off over time, rather than it be something you can keep applying regularly. No other experience with post 2010 Warwicks for comparison. I should probably ask on the Warwick forum I guess.
11. Any more info on this?
12.
I doubt it's doing him or the sale any favours though. I think the original point's been sufficiently made now, and it's worth pointing out that he wouldn't be the first person to begin somewhat inauspiciously only to become one of the key members of BC.
I agree, so leave it be now folks please and allow the man to sell his gear
13. If I say it is The Bottom Line, do I get a prize?
14. Man, these basses are cool.
15. Andd the last bump of 2013
16.
And the little switch?
LEDs, one would assume. Awesome bass!
17. Replied and SOLD, pending collection.
18. Cheers, best of luck with the sale!
19.
Just added a link in the original add. Bought roughly 3 months ago, 2 gigs only, mint condish, case, tools etc etc.
Sorry to ask again, but will you please confirm the asking price is £2499?
20. Over the last few years I have realised the Warwick basses are the best instruments for me. Have owned several high end boutique instruments, including top-end Roscoe and Wood & Tronics instruments, and tried even more, and I have always come back to Warwick. Whilst I am sure I will always succumb to GAS and give other builders a go, I doubt il find anything better for me. The growly tone of the African Hardwoods is just spot-on, and the feel of the wood and the fingerboard is just right. The bridge is a superb design and the (brass) adjustable nuts are a great innovation. A Wal is still on my list of basses to try, though. I fear the day I play an Mk model as it may cause a rethink that I certainly couldn't afford! Number one as of right now is my Warwick Dolphin Pro I from 2010. Superb quality, completely changed my view on non-vintage Warwicks. Has a superb range of tone with the electronics that seem to be able adjust to any mix in a variety of styles, perfect weight and balance at 9lb 3oz and just suits me in every way. Most gorgeous use of ovangkol I have ever come across too . It will be tough to better.
21. No reason why not. Corvette MECs are the silver type and are passive so no issues there. Providing they fit, go for it! If you don't like it, swap them back!
22. Can you clarify your asking price for the bass please, as your post seems to imply that was just how much it was new?? Apologies if I have misread
23. Bump for a cracking bass
