  1. Aren’t those D’addario flats with the black silks?
  2. Erm, through body stringing should involve a shallower angle that that shouldn't it? Those just nose-dive through the body!
  3. LOVE IT!!!!
  4. Most On/On/On switches are set up like this, aren't they? Assuming that the RED and WHITE are the hot outputs from each coil, and H is the signal output the the jack socket then I can't see a reason why it shouldn't work.
  5. Should have gone for the 'Full set' and popped a clip-on tuner on there.
  6. Even if they were the same diameter they have different thread angles; Metric has the threads at 60º, Imperial has them at 55º. Just another reason to get a Metric grub screw.
  7. Really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing!
  8. I've had this before - I seem to remember using a smooth file and removing the silks like that, it's either that or ream the E string hole on the bridge...
  9. 2ME 2U. Unfortunately not a real tribute act, but should be.

    NUX Pedals

I had the NUX mod core and loved it.
  11. if it's preamp clipping, as much as you like, (🤘) power amp clipping is to be avoided at all costs though.
  12. Has anyone ever had to buy one of these to ground the bridge on their Jazz bass? Looking to fit one to a bass but unsure where to get them? Basically it’s just a bent bit of copper, no?
  13. An 1153 would be my recommendation; great little(ish) cab!
  14. I think it would be a bit disappointing to discover that you didn’t have to pay someone to damage a musical instrument, and that you already had the necessary skills to do it yourself. I’d be livid!
  15. Wilkinson Jazz pickups - got a pair in my fretless and they’re amazing; they sound like they cost ten times their price.
  16. V is for vinyl! Nice bass too. 😉
  17. Squier Jazz bass body in Tobacco sunburst with scratchplate and bell plate of unknown origin. If memory serves it’s from a Squier bass and has all the holes for standard BBOT bridge and Fender sized neck (~63mm). UPDATE: Just wired the scratch plate to a pair of aftermarket no-name pickups and an output jack. Just needs a neck, bridge and strings - the wire sticking out of the body is for the bridge ground and doesn't need soldering. There are a couple of ‘doubles’ where it looks like an earlier scratchplate hasn’t quite lined up, but these are hidden when the plate’s on. SOLD.
  18. Barefaced Compact with Roqsolid cover. In excellent condition and original handle. It came to me with a replacement handle but it’s not been needed. collection preferred but not a deal breaker.
  19. Rotosound Tru-bass 😉. stop it!!
  20. Yeah, Ned's always ever had 2 bass players. How cool is that?!
  21. Tonight’s board - mostly overdrives and fuzz 😉
