    Traded thanks!

    Now on hold
  2. Forgot to add that the Hayman basses always had adjustment at the body end.
  3. If you look closely the Shergold badge is an decal version - the early versions were pinned. The black plug looks more like a sticker to me. There are variants of course because like many manufacturers they used what came to hand however the general rule is that the later bass necks and certainly the NOS versions had rods adjustment at the headstock.
  4. On the later NOS Shergold necks the truss rod would be adjusted at the headstock end hence the hole. Only the very first Shergolds had the adjustment at the body end - cleverly concealed under the serial plate - as they were all remainder stock from the Hayman models. The first Shergold Marathon basses also had a larger black scratchplate that covered the great big route where the Hayman electrics and PUP assembly were fitted.
  5. I've had one with a bridge cover but not one over the pickup - always reminded me of those 60s space age looking hair dryers in old salons
  6. It looks very nice and yes I do have one and also a spare Shergold/Hayman neck. I keep thinking that there's a guy on the Shergold forum who will be going mad with GAS for those Perspex covers as they are very very rare!

  13. I'm selling my recently purchased and in near mint condition Pawnshop Bass VI. This is a similar model to the Fender Bass VI but with some updates - five way switch and a larger humbucker pickup at the rear. The bass is in a beautiful sunburst with tortoiseshell scratchplate. It has a vintage trem system - that actually stays in tune! It's well set up with Daddario Bass VI round wound strings and comes with a set of spares. The bass plays and sounds superb and you can get vintage to modern tones on it. It's a short scale instrument 30" and weighs around 9lbs great balance and comfy to play on a strap. I'm only selling as I prefer a wider neck so I'm going to look at some other options. This is an instrument that I bought new and have owned for just short of a week it comes with all tags, registration card, Allen keys and a brand new non Fender gig bag. These are much better quality than the Squier version and I'd say compare closely to the very rare and expensive MIJ version which I've also owned. Sorry no trades on this. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK at buyers cost. Thanks for looking!
  14. Ed bought my Fender MIJ P bass - very quick payment, no fuss, very easy deal many thanks and enjoy the bass!
  15. Bump - the price should read £1695 but I could t alter it.
  16. Keep the bass and I'll buy the case off you
  17. Here is my lovely old Gibson EB2 which according to the serial number and hardware was manufactured between 1966-69. The witches hat knobs and style of bridge would point to a later 60's EB2 I reckon. The bass is in superb cosmetic condition for its age having been kept in its (included and original) case for much of its life. I doubt you'll see another in this kind of condition! The truss rod works as it ought to and there is very little fret wear, neck is nice and slim and action is low. It's a short scale bass so easy to play and it balances well. Electrics work properly including the baritone switch which tames the massive mudbucker to a more manageable output. Great vintage tone and looks. The original adjustable mute and bridge cover are present as is the scratchplate. The neck is slim - similar to a jazz. Withdrawn
  18. Clocked it but I just got another early Marathon!
  19. Yes got my beadies on this one!
  20. I got it for £9.99 from The Works a few years ago. I thought it a bargain and evidently it was!
  21. What's the weight please?
  22. Now sold 😊
