Where did you get your scratchplate from and what value/type of pots did you use? I've been playing it all morning it's a fine bass very versatile. Thanks!

If you want to buy the bass that's fine but I rather want to keep my hand!
  5. If someone decides to buy my Ovation Magnum I'd be all over this - love this era. Is the neck ok - plenty of play in the trussrod? Have you got the old tuners? Thanks

Lancaster - this one is very comfy and not that much heavier than my Rick they did vary in weight - this is an early serial number and some say these models maybe more manageable on account of the quality of the mahogany used. I have a dodgy shoulder and found it fine for long sessions.

Ha ha yes Karl Eric is a traditionalist and far prefers the 'Erickenbacker' ! Just to be clear I don't want any trades unless someone has a passive Ovation Magnum. Thanks for looking all PMs replied too the bass is still for sale

Sold The bass had some incredible features for its time - active electrics with 6 band EQ and graphite reinforced neck plus adjustable volume on each pole of the neck pickup. It can produce sounds from slap to dub and anywhere in between. As favoured by Jah Wobble and Barry Adamson these are highly sought after instruments. Excellent condition for its age although there are small dings and wear to the aluminium hard wear. The electrics work well although they are a little scratchy when the sliders are moved. The scratchplate has been cracked in the past and repaired. Neck is lovely and straight with a low action. It weighs just under 10lbs but balances perfectly. All original with an early serial number - I'm only selling because I prefer passive instruments and am looking for the passive Magnum - If you've got one and fancy a swap let me know. No other trades sorry. The price is negotiable within reason, cash on collection. I may post but only in the UK as there isn't a case but a gigbag is included.

  12. I'm good thanks - that is a lovely bass and I'm extremely tempted - you're not selling the Tele are you?
  13. Hi did you get this one from me? I remember one with another pickup but can't remember where it went. What does it weigh? Cheers
  14. This is virtually brand new and comes boxed with manuals and all accessories. Fantastic little analog monosynth with built in sequencer and patch bay. Lots of squidgy bass and soaring lead sounds. Have a look at the video pics to follow. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK only. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cagbBg0TmgM
  15. Now with tuners and one odd one that fits perfectly though is cosmetically different.
  16. Price dropped to £270

A great deal and a good old natter - good to see you again Martin!
  19. I"ll consider part trades on this - I need to recoup £500 so an interesting effect such as a Moogerfooger or a Mutron plus £500 gets it or something along similar value
