1. Thanks folks Yes it's a great bass - fine example of what Fender can produce - I think it's a fair price too.
2. I'll have them pm me with your PayPal address
3. And that's because they are tremendous basses Tom. I love my old Grabber 1 bass I would love this too
4. I have a rather nice fiesta red Roadworn bass in excellent - Roadworn - condition. It comes with a gig bag. Plays very nice indeed with a low action. It's an early model from 2008. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK for around £20. Now strung with Fender nickel round wounds 40-100. The nut width is a bit too skinny for me as I prefer a wider neck. I'm not looking for trades as my GAS is firmly attached to something else. These basses are fantastic quality and this one sounds lovely. It has a couple of tiny bumps to the back of the neck but nothing to break the lacquer or get in the way of playing. Pics now added. Sold thanks
5. I'm negotiating on this one for postage for one of the kids in the family. But far for me to travel so we will see 😊
6. PM sent
7.
Don't think so - seller says he thinks it's a one-off & I'm inclined to agree. Looks quite nicely made, has a hint of the Ned Callans about it. Loving the banjo tuners! The bridge is interesting, it's a Schaller 3D made for a 2-point Gibbo fitting, discontinued years ago AFAIK. I think that's proper cool, you should buy it if it doesn't go too mad. J.
Yes I thought this looked a bit Ned Callan or even Gordon Smith - never seen another I may have a pop as I like short scale basses for travelling about with! Looks very 'British built' to me.
8. Hi what's the weight please and can you tell me the serial number - Thanks!
9. Price dropped to £600 for quick sale no offers sorry
10. No there aren't on the 63 reissue true to the original.
11. Pm'd and I'm nearby
12. Price drop to £670
13. I've Pm'd you ok
14. It's nice although the 6 screw neck plate and headstock logo are non standard, is there any history? I think a few of us would be interested if you would be prepared to courier it. 😉
15. Lovely bass I gave a 70's BB1000 bolt on - build quality is amazing!
16. I have this lovely 1994 reissue of a 1963 Hofner Violin bass. It has a beautiful flame to the back and is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition with an easy action up the scale. It's currently strung with Rotosound 77 flats and has that warm 60's sound. The bass comes with hard shaped case and certificate. It has been strung right handed and the scratchplate has been removed but is included. These reissues are hand made in Germany and were manufactured to a high standard - not to be confused with the HCT or Ignition series this is the real deal! A strap button has been added at the neck heel so a standard strap - rather than the original 'dog lead' strap - can be used. Excellent condition some finish wear on the neck - see pics - with only a few minor dings and lacquer marks. Major price drop to £600 . Now sold thanks.
17. Too much! If it were an 8 string perhaps but that's very steep.

Now on hold
21. Forgot to add that the Hayman basses always had adjustment at the body end.
22. If you look closely the Shergold badge is an decal version - the early versions were pinned. The black plug looks more like a sticker to me. There are variants of course because like many manufacturers they used what came to hand however the general rule is that the later bass necks and certainly the NOS versions had rods adjustment at the headstock.
23. On the later NOS Shergold necks the truss rod would be adjusted at the headstock end hence the hole. Only the very first Shergolds had the adjustment at the body end - cleverly concealed under the serial plate - as they were all remainder stock from the Hayman models. The first Shergold Marathon basses also had a larger black scratchplate that covered the great big route where the Hayman electrics and PUP assembly were fitted.
24. I've had one with a bridge cover but not one over the pickup - always reminded me of those 60s space age looking hair dryers in old salons
