1. What's the year and what's the weight please?
2. Well if anyone wants to buy the neck only....
3. Just measured scale from the bridge saddles to the nut and its 32'' and back of bridge to nut 33.4". Most Kramers have a medium scale sorry for the confusion.
4. It's medium - not shortscale and inserts are painted black cheers
5. Very metal type aluminium bump
6. This odd looking wedge shaped bass is one of the last aluminium necked bass models made by Kramer. I bought this as a project - it needed work - I got the correct Schaller roller bridge for it as it was fitted with a Badass that made the action too high. It looks like it has had a Kahler type bridge installed at some point as it's got some filled holes under the bridge. It has also had an overspray by the look of things. I believe the Schaller pickup is original - I've seen a few pics online and this looks like the pickup installed. The original Schaller tuners have been replaced with new ones.
7. Hi just got your message - I've seen them on Ricks but the headstock tuner holes would need to be about 16mm wide so if it's got the original holes it would need to be drilled. I do have some Hipshot direct replacement for a Rick 4003/4001 that are brand new - was going to use them on my old John Birch but got the correct M4 Schaller types instead - if you are interested PM me. Cheers
An old friend of mine had one of these, which he bought new in 1963, and it was a fabulous bass. It had been repaired, after a fall from the stand took the head off in about 1975(!), but the luthier made a fantastic job of it, and you'd be hard pushed to know. He played it through a 1960s Vox AC50, and a Vox 1x 18. Not a man looking for sparkling high end tones, as you can imagine. Sounded awesome - a real trouser flapper and perfect for Beatles and Stones stuff. I wish I had the cash. GLWTS - great basses, and a collectors item for the future I'm sure.
Thanks Admiral! Fortunately this one has kept its head all these years and other than the cosmetic dings it has no structural issues!

Cheers Karl it is and I probably will but I tend to use my Grabber for blues and straight rock gigs these days as I don't worry about the old girl like I do this one!

Owen - Feedback

Great deal and very quick shipping on a JV Squier many thanks!
14. A set of two-a-side Schaller tuners very heavy duty with accurate gears. Excellent condition with ferrules and washers. These are the types used on many Gibson, Guild and custom basses. Price includes UK post.
15. Neck and truss rod ok? If so may well be tempted as I need a guitar
16. Just awaiting a reply from Ed will let you know Kirky
17. First version of the Leo Quan Badass bridge, this is seriously chunky and is the mod for Fender basses from the 70s up to today. Adds serious sustain, the saddles have been grooved ( I think spares are available if needed though ). Price includes mounting screws and UK postage - it's heavy!
18. A set of never used and very expensive La Bella flat wounds they are a light gauge low tension set 39 to 96. I got them for my Hofner Violin bass but they are too short for the bass - it's an early '70s model with the shorter tailpiece. I only opened the E and could see they wouldn't fit. Great quality strings for Epi Rivolis etc. Price includes UK postage.
19. Where are you based? Cheers
20. Case or gigbag ? Willing to post? Cheers
21. Now 195 posted UK only or 175 picked up
22. Well if you pm me I can send you details for payment - happy to use PayPal - shipping will be about £20 and we can exchange addresses. It's probably a bit long of a journey to come down from Durham to Lancaster. Cheers
