  1. Great amps these was it my old amp? If so it never let me down. GLWTS
  2. Probably in some uncle's loft
  3. Thanks it's a lovely old bass but I'm currently besotted with my JV Precisions so it's getting neglected
  4. All pms replied to thanks looks like this is on hold
  5. I bought this neck with the intention of fitting it to a Stingray Sub or Sterling Sub body but I ended up with a rather nice JV Precision - this is now surplus to requirements. It's drilled for a 6 bolt Musicman body but there are other holes so it's been on other Musicman type basses. It's fitted with nice light Hipshot tuners. It's a gorgeous neck - new from Status with VAT and delivery it would cost around £325 plus the Hipshots are a further £100 so I reckon £245 is a fair price. I'd post in the UK for an extra £12. No trades on this.
  6. More details
  7. It's 40mms and yes postage in the UK is fine if the buyer pays - although I'd need time to get materials together. I can order through UPS for about £22
  8. Yamaha BBVIIs this is a Made in Japan model from the 80's and is passive with PJ type pickups vol/vol/tone. The bass has had a few mods and repairs over the years - these include a new tone pot, Schaller 3D bridge, new speed type knobs and new strap buttons. The bass has a medium scale 32" and a very fast playable neck. Typical MIJ Yamaha build quality with great balance. It weighs 3.8kgs so perfect for people with bad backs! When I got it it was covered in stickers and glued on pictures which I've removed but there are lots of cosmetic marks, glue residue and faded patches on the bass. It's scruffy but not trashed and there are certainly no structural issues. A great little MIJ bass for not much cash. Sorry no case or bag with this one. Sorry no trades. SOLD
  9. 1976 Fender Mustang Bass maple neck, sunburst finish USA made. A lovely little 30.5 short scale bass with through body stringing. The original sunburst finish has lots of paint wear, dings and some bucklerash. The neck also has plenty of marks and dings and a chip out of the fingerboard near the 3rd fret. Frets have obvious play-wear but lots of life left in them. Neck is straight and the truss-rod operates as it ought too. It's lightweight and well balanced at around 3.6 kgs. Looks like a one piece ash body and the rarer maple neck. It's a very cool original vintage Fender and always turns heads. All electrics including the Mustang split pickup and the controls, pots and wiring appear original It's also got the old earth/ground plates under the pickup and control plate. It's a surprisingly loud and punchy bass for its size. The scratchplate is a little warped and the thumbrest a replacement. Matching serial number sticker on underside of the scratchplate and the usual neck stamps. Comes with an old non Fender contemporary case. Sorry U.K. only. I'd guess it's a niche instrument due to its diminutive stature however it is a genuine very usable vintage Fender 'of a certain age'. Tina Weymouth, Bill Wyman and Alan Lancaster were notable users of the bass. Great for smaller players. Sold
  10. I just bought a JV Precision off Geoff, very quick and easy deal and a fantastic bass. Many thanks!
  11. This a very nicely grained pre Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray body from 1976. Originally it would have sported a three bolt neck as evidenced by the holes at the back of the neck heel it is now drilled to fit a 6 bolter. A Status neck or 6 or 3 bolt Musicman neck will fit it. The body is loaded with an EMG active pickup and preamp which has bass and treble controls with centre detent. The bridge is a string through body aftermarket job but works fine. One of the string ferrules is a replacement. The body is in excellent condition it's a slab of ash - hefty but sustains forever. I'm selling the body as it's too heavy for a glass back like me ( with neck it weighs just under 10lbs) It has very few dings/minor scratches to the gloss finish. For the body, fittings and pickup/electrics I'm looking for £335. Great for a pre Ernie Ball rebuild. Note that the neck is not included. No trades unless you have a light weight US Sub body going spare.
  12. Here's a nice Badass II Leo Quan Bridge in good condition with mounting screws. Slots created by position of strings rather than cut or filed. Price includes UK postage. Sold

  18. I have a '76 Mustang its a superb little bass. Great to play for long gigs and if you have intermittent neck or shoulder issues the Mustang is a must have Good luck this is a lovely bass.
  19. Thanks as I said the previous owner thought it was original to the bass. Sounds great and has a very usable range of tones on offer.
  20. Thanks for the info I've edited the post, I think from what you and other Status owners have said this is definitely a non standard feature it's got a Status board and the previous owner had owned the bass for 7 years and hadn't made any mods. May have been a special order? Anyway apparently the concentric pots are a better option by all accounts as it's much more variable tone wise.
