Only used a handful of times to practice at home so still in mint condition. Collection/meet up in Manchester preferred Here's the blurb: The Perfect Ten bass practice amp combines a 30 watt power section with a single 10" Ashdown BlueLine bass speaker. Sounds can be shaped quickly and intuitively using bass, middle and treble controls, supplemented by a pre-shaped 'deep' switch. A headphone output is provided for private practice along with an extension speaker output. Specifications

Power Output (RMS) 30W
Speaker Configuration 1 x 10"
Line Input Impedance 1M Ohm, Input range 100mV to 10V
H x W x D (mm) 505 x 444 x 500
Weight (kg) 21.43
Will consider trades/part-trades for interesting pedals, hiscox cases (guitar or bass), Precision type necks with rosewood fretboards. If you're interested, let me know what you've got. Thanks.
That is a pity I found them to be very helpful or I would not have started a thread on them.
When my problems first started all I had seen were positive experiences from others so I a) wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt (obviously things can happen in life when you're a one man outfit) and didn't want to jeopardise my chances of actually getting the pedals I'd paid for. Since then however I've seen a few people on the fb page with similar complaints to mine. ymmv

Don't get me started on this guy. I have a long traumatic history of trying to get the pedals I paid for. I got them eventually but not before tons of excuses and lies regarding when they were being posted. Had to continually pester to get any kind of info on what was going on after numerous delays. The guy was pretty obnoxious towards the end. I would never buy from them again.

He did quite a few set-ups for me back in the A1 days. Always seemed like a nice guy and was always extremely helpful. Sad news. Just realised this thread is from 2 years ago

Hello, I'll take the DS1 and DS2 if they're still available.

Three tracks were remixed by Scott Litt, two of which were chosen over the Albini versions for the album, alledgedly at the bands request. Apparently Krist has gone on record saying that they wanted them to sound more accesible for the radio. Whether or not that was due to label pressure I guess we will never know.

Interesting podcast interview here where he talks about the letter and recording In Utero amongst other things: http://vishkhanna.co...4-steve-albini/
It's a belting song either way, He should be aware of the seductive tunes he writes. I've heard some of the new album & i'm very impressed with what I've heard so far. I'm an old fan of NIN & Everything that Trent does.....I still love Perfect Drug, it's one of my all time favorite tunes
Haha agreed. The Downward Spiral is one of my favourite albums of all time. Not as keen on some of the newer stuff but the Social Network soundtrack was great, and there's only one song on the new album I'm not too fond of. The new album tracks sound even better live from the youtube clips I've seen. That snippet with Pino on sounded like a whole new beast (with the female backing singers and all), but equally brilliant.
I'm a massive fan of The Downward Spiral/The Fragile (2nd and 3rd albums) period. Most of the songs are about drugs or shagging.
Apparently Trent hates the fact that 'Closer', a song about extreme self hatred is now a 'titty bar' anthem
Lovely, cheers for that. I'm actually a big Telefon Tel Aviv fan so logically I should enjoy NIN what with Josh Eustis joining them recently.
There's a couple of Telefon Tel Aviv remixes of Fragile era material floating around (think they were used as b-sides) that are worth a listen.

Never had a duff MIM. Often ordered sight unseen. 3 out of 5 Squiers I've bought (all made in Indonesia I think) have had issues beyond bad set-ups that needed work by a luthier to get them playable.

Saw them in Manchester on the Nimrod tour and they were great. Not so much into the newer stuff but if the Reading footage is anything to go by they're still great live.

Just picked up a black one. General set up and finish is pretty good. However it has the exact same problem with the high E being too close to the edge of the fretboard. Not sure if it's a badly cut nut or something more sinister. Did you get yours sorted Storky?
I just picked up my new Squire Bass V1 yesterday (early birthday present). Really like it. The sound seems to cut through well, plenty of "twang" would be good for Country stuff, but also does usual bass duties well. Best to play it with a pick though due to string spacing. I guess it is like a bass version of a Stratocaster - same sort of sound - just deeper! Only slight issue so far is the low "E" is too close to the edge of the neck and is too easily pushed off the edge.
Hey Storky, where did you buy it from if you don't mind me asking? I had a Oly white one from Dawsons but it went back due to issues with the finish. Apparently the staytrem bridge fix most problems with the E string being too close to the edge of the fretboard so I'm told.

Looking really nice so far. Always been a big fan of the Thurston Moore signature Jazzmaster which has a simliar finish. Seriously thinking of stripping my spare sunburst VM Jazzmaster and attempting a refin myself.

Fender to finally make the Starcaster bass and reissue the Coronado?
Ruiner replied to neepheid's topic in Bass Guitars
Lovely stuff. Can't wait to get my hands on both of these. -
Obviously depends on the type of music. Bands like Shellac, the Jesus Lizard, Cop Shoot Cop etc. All use this kind of bass sound to great effect.
listening to the song, and seeing the size of the pedal too, i'm 90% sure.... tronographic rusty box... sounds like jesus lizard bass to me, which is jazz bass and s/s traynor distortion...
I'm with Gaz. Sounds like the Rusty Box to me. I used a similiar sound (but nowhere near as beefy) here (jazz bass + Rusty Box) - skip to 8:10 in: https://soundcloud.com/ex-civilians/fixtures-fittings
Do we have an ETA for the UK? I might actually have to go and try one of these... (shock horror!)
Not yet. Some stores in Europe have had stock though so hopefully we'll get them soon. EDIT: Andertons has them listed at £273 (available in 1-2 weeks)
