1.
These are really fantastic basses and a bargain at this price IMHO, GLWTS
Thanks. They really are. I wouldn't be parting with it but I loved mine so much I went out and bought a second the week after. Unfortunately I've been trying to thin the herd for a few months now and I can no longer justify having two basses that are exactly the same in every way except the colour

3. Sold a bitsa PJ to Karl a little while back. Hassle free transaction and super nice guy to boot. Thanks again.
4. Bought a CD from Martyn a little while back. Perfect transaction. Thanks again.
5. Bought a Line 6 M5 from Pete a little while back. Smooth, hassle free transaction. Item well packed, excellent condition and received within a day or two.
6.
wow I thought it laughable when Adam Clayton got a sig bass, but now the truth is obvious. You can pay Fender to make a sig bass for you, if the price....is right. A fugly bass for an unknown bassist, should sell millions of these lol
I agree with the criteria suggested by your post. Signature instruments should definitely only be given to moderately known musicians who display a higher than average amount of technical proficiency and are prepared to pay for it. Not personally a fan of this model though or the Bass V the shape is based on.
7. Lovely. I have the Squier J Mascis and if this has the same pickups then it'll sound great. From what I've read elsewhere Squier is phasing out the signature models and so this seems like a logical next step.
8. I'd be inclined to send an email explaining that as the copyright holder of the songs recorded you don't give him permission to sell these recordings. If you've already said words to this effect and it's fell on deaf ears, just wait for him to offer them for sale and issue the DMCA take down notice as suggested above. Had a similar situation with an opportunistic promoter a good few years back. We approached him as soon as he made the announcement, politely informing him that we didn't want him selling copies of our set. He was furious that we'd dared to do so and loudly proclaimed 'you'll never play in this town again!' He deleted the recordings while we were there though and fortunately his proclamation proved to be untrue! Edit: Just saw elsewhere in the thread that you've emailed already.
9. Hello, I have an Orange Terror Bass 500 head (purchased from new) with an intermittent on/off switch fault (sometimes it refuses to switch off). Despite having only used it a handful of times (as a back up) it's out of warranty. Orange have quoted me £45.00 + VAT for labour, £20.00 + VAT for shipping (both ways) plus the cost of the part. (Assuming it’s the switch that’s at fault.). However being the thrifty sort that I am, I figured it'd be easier to just have the switch replaced myself. Orange themselves refuse to sell me the part as "it’s a mains switch so is considered to be a safety critical part that means it must be sold to a dealer for their tech’s use." I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff, but have a friend who's handy with a soldering iron. Does anybody happen to have any idea whether a generic switch would do the job or if only an official replacement switch will do? Thanks
10. I'll take this. Pm incoming
11. I feel like I've seen him use the jazz that the signature is based on quite a lot live, especially with Atoms for Peace. Admittedly not as often as the ray/modulus humbucker equipped basses though. I suspect that this was a gateway introduction of a signature, as the jazz was the only Fender he was known for playing at the time. I would say it's only a matter of time before we get another Flea signature based on the humbucker equipped jazz basses he seems to be using now.
12. No case with this one. I do have a lot of packaging and a suitable box though. Let me look into it and get back to you via PM.
13.
Yeah, it's a venue now, but I thought Sound Control was on the main road near Music Ground? Was it not A1 or something like that? I'm suddenly feeling very old.
It used to be A1 but then became Sound Control if memory serves. The big Sound Control at Regent Road became PMT when Sound Control went bust.
