Same factory. How can it be a "lawsuit" if it doesn't look feck all like a F*nder though?

Cimar. Not an Ibanez, because they have "Ibanez" written on them. Which is surprisingly easy to spot, once you're conversant with that little-known fact. It's this: Specifically a Cimar XR2065BS. In the case of this example the "BS" presumably refers to the suggestion that it's an Ibanez in disguise. It's an early 80s bass & an original-ish shape and therefore nothing to do with any imaginary lawsuit. Ibanez & Cimar were related by this point, possibly both originating from Fujigen, & being distributed via Hoshino. These pre-date the mid-80s "Cimar by Ibanez" cheapos, so it's not known if Hoshino actually owned the brand at that point. I've actually got one of these in a less-original but generally tidy condition. It's presently gathering dust so I'll be watching this one with a degree of curiosity. J.
My bad.

3. I guess it could work... a tad unorthodox maybe... but why the bloody great washer/string tree?
4. Oh nos - bidding war... £6?
5.
It's it's a fair system then things like that aren't fair for me. I have personally sold 3 basses for more than I bought for so why should I have to suffer because of the original sellers circumstances?
For a start, not everyone that sells here does so to make a profit (I for one am content to move stuff on for less than market price on here). Many people feel that there is something of a community going on here so there's nothing wrong with a bit of looking out for one another. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with making a profit (an item is after all only worth what someone is willing to pay for it) there's a guy advertising a bass on here today with a £200 mark up on the price he paid for it not so long ago. It may well go for that but wouldn't you like to be able to access that info if it were you interested in buying it? I have removed the sale price from threads in the past but that was more out of politeness to the buyer. If it became a rule not to, I'd have no problem with it and I'd have no problem with people knowing what I paid for an item should I come to sell it on.
6. The screw holes for the missing bridge ashtray seem kinda squint. Is that normal? edit : I hope he's being sarcastic when he says "It has a few scratches here and there..."
7. Bidder 6 went in with a stupid number. I wonder if they got taken in by the "Ernie Ball Stingray MusicMan" part in the title.
8. I've got a set of these beauties. They are certainly worthy of dangling from the dog. Good luck with the sale pal.
9.
Hi Mate, on the back of the bass it has made in Corea, so the answer to your qwuestion is probably yes.
Not only geographically challenged then.
10. Longest ever bass listing on the bay? Nah, it's only 2 lines long.
11. And how about, when 1 or more items are listed instead of just saying "PM'd" we say "PM'd regarding xyz"?
12.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there is a Hiscox case inside. It's hard to tell from the photo, but I reckon it's a bass case and not one for guitar (that this is a bass forum helped me decide too). No idea what is inside the case, or if there even is anything there.
Very warm... in fact scorchio

17. Dat ain't no SG. Surely it's an SB.
18. Good call Ped. I've lost count of the number of F/S's I've passed on just because the seller won't commit to at least a ballpark figure.
19. SOLD pending payment.
20. Separated at birth... Bay Splayer and Arec Barwin (Alec Baldwin)
