  1. This kind of thought can lead to some strange places. It's now common for children to bear the surnames of both their father and mother (a double-barrelled name...). If such a child, when grown up, then marries another with such a name, do their children bear four-barrelled names..? And if their children then grow up and marry... etc. I'd not pursue the issue too far, if I were you; that way, madness lies.
  2. Who said 'Half-pint'..? Come on, own up... You're not leaving until the culprit is found. I don't mind; I've got all the time in the world... ... ...
  3. Not 'crazier'; broken. ... ...
  4. I'll be ordering one of these tomorrow (hang the expense..!) if this is what is delivered..!
  5. Good afternoon, Keith, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  6. Sorry, we're fresh out. We've plenty of scatology, though; will that do..?
  7. Sorry, but it's not possible. It's locked by the System at the creation of the topic. Current price can be noted in the title, as you have done, or in future posts, but the System price is cast in stone. Good luck with the sale.
  8. No, it's a crosscable that's required... ...the crosscable pins 2 and 3 at the male plug are changed to 3 and 2 of the female plug, which results in a phase switching at the second channel... That is correct.
  9. Mis-typed, maybe..? Should read 'Low Fuzz'.
  10. Good afternoon, Greg , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  11. From the manual... Having no binding posts, a suitable-cabled 'bridge-mode' Speakon cable would have to be used with this model. Hope this helps.
  12. @razze06: The 'headline price' cannot be changed; it's locked by the System, but you could edit the title of the topic and put the current price there. While I'm here, may I suggest that you add some indication of your whereabouts (edit your Profile and fill in 'Location', and/or mention it in the opening post..?). That might inspire interest, too. Hope this helps; good luck with the sale.
  13. Here is my contribution to the June 2018 Basschat Composition Challenge, inspired by a picture chosen by last month's winner: Mornats. Not a good month for me; there are only strained, tenuous links to the picture (the 9/8 rhythm and the virtual 'cats'...). All Kontakt stuff: a 60's drum kit, a nice nylon guitar and some Blue 'singing', created in Reaper with minimal treatment, and mastered with AAMS, 'Country' preset. Modest; it is what it is. Thanks for listening, if you already have; if you're about to, enjoy.
  14. Good evening, Radchenko... There'll be more chance of interest in this if you could give your location, and a photo or two of the amp. Just sayin'; good luck with the sale. Douglas
  15. Good evening, James, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  16. Written in the true spirit of a real Acronym Research & Selection Executive, whole quote may be read above ^^. ...
  17. It's as 'right' as one wants to hear it, I'd say. I popped it into GP7 'as is', and accented the 'one' of each bar (in 3/4...), and it sounds fine. To me, it benefits from a higher tempo than the default 120 (I preferred 240...). Here's my rendering of it; I added the last, resolution, note ...
  18. Depending on tempo, I'd suggest something by Mozart.
  19. Offers and trade propositions posted in 'For Sale' ads are systematically deleted. They are to be made by Private Message (PM...) only. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
  20. Well, quite, but I came to this thread to watch/listen to a band I knew nothing about, and so gave it a go (otherwise why post these topics at all..?). It turns out that, like Lenny, I was, let's say,.. unimpressed, and chose to post in that vein. It's just my opinion, and for my part I have no wish to change the view of anyone at all, but it's comment on an open forum on a subject of interest to several. I'd have thought that all loyal views would be welcome, whether for or against. I'll post again in the same spirit on any similar subjects if I feel inspired to.
  21. You didn't miss much, just the usual load of carp.
  22. I forgot to mention the bass-related incident at our gig. I'd bought a new 9-volt battery for the bass, so Our Youngest fitted it just before sound-check. No bass from the amp, so he queried the DI box. As a quick test, I got 2nd guitar to plug in instead of the bass; lo and behold... guitar..! The DI was fine, then, but no bass still. First suspect: the new battery. I opened the trap, 'tongued' the battery and got a 9-volt sting, but then all became apparent. The flimsy snap-on connector was missing the black wire. Survival mode kicked in, so the missing wire was fished out from the nether regions of the battery box, stripped with finger nails and wedged between the contacts of the connector and the battery terminal. Stuffed carefully back into the battery box, trap closed... Bass..! I'm now looking through Ebay for more robust connectors, or even a suitable replacement for the whole battery box. OK, it's a 'low-cost' bass, but that connector was really, really flimsy. The day was saved, though, which is the main thing.
