I use Lemon oil (how long have I had the same bottle??) on dark wood fretboards ONLY when I change strings and clean the fretboard (together) or if the fretboard looks/ feels dry. I've had basses that really benefitted from being oiled - never known one to have any negative outcome by being oiled.

I've used my Trace Elliot heads with a variety of cabs - TE (obviously), Mesa, Schroeder, Vanderkley and Glockenklang amongst others. I can't remember being disappointed with any of them. If there is a Mathematical equation it'll probably be: TE+ anything = perfection

If you're having issues with ringing notes learn the "Floating thumb" technique - several videos on YouTube. It'll be really helpful if you move on to 5 string.

I bought virtually every Paul Weller album through to the the early teens - guaranteed. However I felt that he lost his way and started to sound "same-y" so stopped buying his albums. I think I own every album by Everything by the Girl but since Tracey stopped recorded and Ben started re-mixing the old stuff I've lost interest. Thankfully I've found another direction to take my musical taste - just good music and NO guarantees that I'll buy the next album.

Basically every band where the guitar is the main or front instrument. I hate guitar led bands - I don't think I've missed out - there's loads of other good music that doesn't rely on a screaming overdriven/ distorted guitar.

So that's twice in 58 years....they're starting to rack up.
