As I said "selling good will for pittance".
The amount of money I could have potentially spent with them compared to the cost of one string...makes no business sense to me.
There are many, many Reggae tracks which are covers of Rock tracks but the only one I can think that was a Reggae track first and covered by a rock artist is "I shot the Sherriff" by Bob Marley/ Eric Clapton.
There must be others....
I have a problem with one of the Low B strings being dull - sonically and aesthetically.
Thomann want me to make a video demonstrating this.
We're talking about £7 - I hate companies which are prepared to sell "Good will" for such a pittance.
I too bought some CDs from Mike - two Esperanza Spalding CDs for £2 each!!! Ridiculous I know.
Mike clearly has little faith and trust in the postal system as he wrapped the CDs in packaging which would survive the Nuclear Holocaust.
Trade with confidence....

The article Re: Nick's collection

and from good ole BC
Not sure...but does Nick Smith ( @doctor_of_the_bass) have one?
There's a thread somewhere with photos of his many basses which was printed in Guitar & Bass Magazine...
I'm sure that somebody will be able to identify which month in 2015 it was.
