1.
Not actually current but after several hours of sorting I'm not holding this back just so I wait for a pic of my current board http://www.tayste.co...d-and-a-player/ Enjoy
Now THAT was a journey. Sad thing is that I remember most of those boards being posted on here at the time.
2. Yeah I mean bass end. Octavers and synth pedals always react better with a purer, stronger signal. So going direct from the Bass is great or going from your bass into a compressor and then into the synth would a little better, as the compressor would provide a little more sustain and a more even signal to trigger the effect.
3. You'll probably want the SYB-5 further up the chain to help its' tracking
4. Not to tempt you too much, but the M9 really IS that good IMO when it comes to the modulation/delay/reverb/pitch stuff. You should try and borrow one to have a good play around with and to see how it would fit within your set up. Would definitely help you condense things!
5. For what it's worth, I think it's a pretty nice board, not too far off what I'll have when I assemble either.
The oxide and rat tail arent doing it for me
If you decide to shift the Rat Tail, please give me a shout as I'd really like to get my hands on one.
6. Nearly missed this one, hadn't checked them out before but I'm loving the music. Great interview as always.
7. HOLYSH*TBALLS that is expensive.
8.
Apparently the Xotic BB does the same sound though, so..
That's what I sold my Bass Drive for, but remember it doesn't have the separate boost which I used to find really helpful.
9. Great choice on the G5, I bought and sold mine on this forum and miss it dearly - wasn't using it though. An incredible pedal though and fortunately the price hasn't hyperinflated like that of the Deep Impact.
10. Looks like this has already been discussed to death, but to the OP: thanks for directing me to this article, the blog it comes from is well worth a RSS follow.
11. Free bump for a wonderful bass and a very keen price.
12. That is nice. Are you gonna put some perspex over the top layer as well ala Matt Bellamy?
13. Used M9s are around £200, I got mine in mint condition for 220 posted.
14. Nice cheers for this, I'll give it a go in a fortnight and et you know how I get on .
15.
You mean you had some respect for them in the first place ?
Ha well I remember as a young teenager buying it in the run up to Leeds festival to try and figure out who would be playing. I say buying, I mean borrowing, I was always more of a Kerrang reader - though that's another weekly that's gone down the pan, around the time of the first wave of american emo bands (shudder shudder).

18. Might I suggest you get a MicroKorg instead? I know it's not a keytar but it has such an infinite array of sounds and applications. Most keytar players that I've seen just seem to use them as MIDI controllers and instead get their actual synth sounds from an external unit, I don't know if that's indicative of the sound quality of the lower priced keytars, but it does seem that many offer quite limited parameter control of patches.
19. I need to try out a Grabber at some point. And inevitably I'll end up with a proper Thunderbird at some point as well. I love my Jazz but there's something about my powerful Thunderbird that I just can't escape.
20. Nice pedal selection - you may want to try the compressor before the octaver, could improve the tracking. Downside of course is that you won't be able to make the filter react in the same way to your dynamics.
21. Had a search, on Harmony setting you get a wet/dry mix, on pitchshift setting it's a full shift. No independent control over dry/wet balance but it is tiny and obviously has lots of other shifting options other than just -12/-24. It is true bypass AND polyphonic too: http://www.mooeraudio.com/en/ProductInfo.asp?id=31
22. Free bump for a cracking pedal. Despite having a lot of pedals and recently clearing out the non essentials I'm still hanging on to my AX3000B because it is just so good and so versatile. Don't use it often but when I do it never disappoints.
23. Apparently it's just pure Entwistle in a pedal - sounds good to me! Youtube video demos are few and far between, here's one but the audio quality is pretty crappy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb1WKe5xPFI
24. Argh poorly researched article is poorly researched! This just really seems like a quickly thrown together filler, handed to an intern... who couldn't be bothered to do it properly. More respect lost for NME.
25. Checked out the small Mooer pedals? I think Shep and Ant got two of their series including a pitchshifter, might be right up your street. Definitely tiny sized.
