1. Great follow up. Been meaning to say, I've really enjoyed your last few interviews - keep it up man!
2.
Great paint jobs, but I've never been a fan of the hand written stuff on the casing.
Ask him to do you one without the scrawls? Or repaint it!
3. As Shep has said, the ODB-3 (especially set on lower gain settings) is a great pedal. You may also like the EHX Bass Big Muff, which can be had VERY cheaply on this forum. I had both for years before shifting them on and loved them dearly. Part of me misses them both actually, despite having swapped them both out for pedals a little more boutique.
4. First pedals I would buy would be a Tuner, then a decent pre/di and then a compressor. That is of course if I was starting from scratch, I would find it hard without my Octaver or any of my fuzzes/overdrives but I have found those first 3 are the most important, even if they're not the most fun.
5. Check out the RRP on this badboy though. I thought Darkglass effects were expensive!
6. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
7. Not speaking from personal experience - only drawing from what I've read on TB, but apparently these things aren't that reliable. Tread softly, literally and figuratively!
8. Amazing units. I don't use mine any more but regardless I won't sell it!
9.
Here is my pedal board. I like the minimalist approach. :-)
You've definitely bought the most important one!
10. I used mine for years and despite having moved away from it now I can't bear to sell it! Such a great unit, still reliable as ever and always helps out in a pinch.
11.
The version with the output tranny is supposed ot be awesome - I'd love a go on one
I know I spend a lot on effects pedals, but I mean that makes the Deep Impact look positively Behringer...
12.
Sell it to a 3rd knob.
Brilliant! In all serious, to OP, 2 knob compressors really aren't that bad. I love my EBS MultiComp and if you have it on its normal mode, it basically is a two knob compressor. Even on Multi Comp mode you can only adjust internally the effect upon Low/High bands in addition to usual Gain adjustment and Compression level. No ability to adjust the threshold, attack, release etc... but it gets the job done and sounds great, YMMV though, might not be controllable enough for you.
13. Forum rules state that you've got to state an exact price, not just invite offers mate, sorry. With that in mind could you please amend your post with what you consider to be reasonable prices for each, cheers.
14.
Im gonna keep experimenting though!
Sell me your Rat, sell me your Rat, sell me your Rat...
15. Smart harmony on the M series isn't terrible, I've used it a bit on my M9.
16.
Dood too.
How could I forget. I saw he much regretted recently shifting his.
17. Definitely talk to Shep on this one, he's used one for ages and sings its' praises.
18. My suggestion (to OP and anyone else for that matter) is that you have a good lurk in the For Sale section on here. I got my BB Preamp for a steal and I love it - a great replacement for my Fulltone Bassdrive.
19. That's really helpful, thanks. I've always wondered where to look for a replacement nut if it came to it.
20.
Cheers guys, I'd agree with much of the comment - if you have an M80, I wouldn't waste too much sleep deciding whether to replace it with a Vertigo.
The one your sold me is still doing me well. Thanks for the review anyway!
21.
Did the resonance used to do more than it does now?
Nope. I thought it did originally but after careful reading of the manual it turns out it really doesn't. Have a read: http://www.samsontech.com/site_media/legacy_docs/uf01.pdf Free bump for a great fuzz with a very good gate - which can also go mental. It's not called the poor man's fuzz factory for nothing!
22. Interview with Juan is the best one yet. Great work as always.
23. Here's a demo, with guitar:
