  1. Great band with a huge body of work. I saw them on this recent tour, first time I had seen them live again in over 30 years! They didn't disappoint, played for almost 3 hours.Very impressive. Love the hypnotic layers they have in their music.
  2. Wow, a thing of beauty! A few months younger than me. Going to make someone very happy.
  3. Play it with anything you like, no rules. Just add tone knob to taste
  4. Not too many for me this year about 20. Started a new band so a lot of time/work has gone into getting that gig ready.
  5. First pics of mine on the operating table. Incomming Feb 2018.
  6. lol Dave, P's really are that good especially for the gig playing man or woman. I had 4 of them at one point. edit: to try not be sexist.
  7. Could be that, all I know is I find unlined versions easier, it could be that I'm just more relaxed without the lines
  8. Sorry I wasn't more clear, 2 Fender P's and 2 Ibanez's (the Ibanez's are an ATK and Musician)
  9. Few! I'm down to 4 basses from 7 now 2 Precisions, and 2 old Ibanez's the ATK and a fretless Musician. Do I have GAS under control at last? One new incoming in the early new year, but been waiting the better part of 20 months for that. Anyone else cutting or collecting? Tell us what you have coming?
  10. Just when I thgought the GAS was out! Edit to say they are a little more expensive than I was expecting I have had a Masterbilt Epiphone accoustic guitar for ages and been good quality, still.
  11. I'm very intrigued to see Stu's bass... it does seem a bit odd we haven't seen any of it still ?
  12. He's a bit like a McCartney to me, great song writer and bass player and musician. From reading his biography I came to understand his ego a bit more.
  13. Lets see the bass or we will think it's an early April fools (don't need any serial no's)
  14. You'd think everyone is capable of a quick Google nowadays.. Looking forwards to seeing the bass
  15. You bought it in good faith Stu, If it was me I wouldn't try hide it or feel guilty about it. if someone contacted me about it being stolen or ripped off I'd take it from there. You lucky bugger
  16. I think it's a fretted Ampeg, the same one Tony Robinson from Aswad went on to use in their early days
  17. Wob's takes his bassplaying to a different level. I think a lot of us are passionate but he rides the Sonic Boom!
  18. Yes, I did that as well, 2nd Edition had the bonus of lyrics on the sleeve as well. My Metal box looking rather sad, like me
  19. You need a bit of both imo, passion and ability, understand your limits and goals and get on with it.
  20. 38 years ago today Metal Box was released and kickstarted my Bass playing journey. Thanks Wobble!
  21. If I were to get one again, think I'd go for the 2eq Classic, best of old and new.
