Thanks, you guys certainly had "the look".Just wondered if I ever caught you live. Hanoi Rocks I saw a few times live , they used to play with The Cuddly Toys (who remembers them) Guess that was mid-80's
When it's really fun, you get the buzz and so does the audience, people dancing and having a good time. Not too hard a load in or out, some pay for your trouble, a decent stage and pa, good sound, the list can go on.
I think some NYXL's and Elixrs are on my list to try.
Been using the bass centre Elites and Stadiums, been very good value I get 8-9 months out of a set of them. Still 2 packs to go lol.
I have one of those
I must of been lucky so far and not regretted any yet. (close is the Wal pro I exchanged for a Warwick custom build back in the 80's, but went on to use the Warwick for another 15 years.
Normally I have exchanged for another bass and not just funds.
Yes, very nice basses, love the playability, I have had 2 but couldn't get them to work for me, always fiddling with the controls. Not sure why as when I have listened back to any live stuff they have sounded nice
Enjoy the bass.
A bot off-topic, but most songs I have tried to write for bands I have been in they have always said that sounds just like the 80's
Still not sure if that is a good or bad thing lol. Stuck in a bit of a rut I guess.
Some great tunes, definitely my era
Don't forget the 2 tone movement was also in full swing by then.
I caught the Beat live on Sunday, still sounding good.
Sometimes there can also be a bit of a volume drop, blending Pups. No big un but it can be there.
I thought for a while I was missing out not having a PJ, but having used one for a while I went back to the old P bass. (maybe listening to too much Norman Blockheads time )
