    Finally been sent my FI4 VIP unit. Lovely. Obviously thanks are due to @GisserD who designed his own aftermarket mini housing years ago which undoubtedly created the groundswell for this official Panda one to eventually happen.

    The pedal needs 500mA at 12V. It could be that when the voltage is stepped up, the available current is lowered proportionally so a 500mA 9V output would then become 375mA at 12V. (That’s how it functions on my Strymon Zuma.) I’ve also seen some converters (such as the one by One Spot) that has a capped amount of current it can convert; again, this may be what happened in your case. This was mine previously and is a lovely pedal.

    Wonder if the BOD sensitivity is the same issue as with their initial VBO run - really chattery. They fixed it by adding a resistor at the input somewhere.

    Seems giving away stuff for free is too fraught with logistical problems so I’m withdrawing this and taking it to a charity shop.

    Not entirely sure about this but feel like I should continue my ruthless cull. For those that don’t know, this is an analogue phaser with full MIDI control and 122 presets. Pedal is in outstanding condition with all packaging and paperwork. I love the sound of this thing but I find I only ever use a small fraction of what it’s capable of. The other thing is that the deeper programming options via dip switches doesn’t really suit my mindset. These were only available in the USA due to restrictions on vactrols in Europe, but I was fortunate enough to have a friend who was able to bring this over for me.     Looks to have sold on eBay, though with a couple of potential wrinkles to iron out: buyer apparently moving house before I can post so if he can’t update the address on file, I might have to cancel the sale. Low feedback user too so I’m already a bit wary.
