Behringer Moogerfooger Lowpass Filter Clone
Quatschmacher replied to HoorayForAnonyms's topic in Effects
Yeah, that was one of the reasons I returned the new one I bought. You needed to buy the control processor just to get a down sweep. PastFX do an excellent 101 clone in a normal-sized enclosure with solid build quality so I’m not as interested in this particular Behringer version, though I’m sure it’ll be good. -
Or Source Audio Lunar (or Mercury or Gemini), though volume control is only via the app when creating presets, which is a bit frustrating.
-
Behringer BM13 but it’s enormous.

I don’t; I think the footprint is slightly smaller but deeper. Black Pearl is a loaner for comparison. Tempted to get one. Gigging with 5 MF pedals is mad. Need PastFX to make one of their shrunk-down clones of this like they did with the 101.

It’s a big beast; comically large. Can’t realistically get this on my Aclam board Knobs aren’t bolted to the case, which is disappointing, but I suspected might be the case, given the price. Sounds nice though. Seems to be a fair amount of top end roll-off compared to the Black Pearl (another MF-103 clone); the Wombtone has much more high-end clarity. Not sure whether I’ll keep it, mainly due to the knobs and the size.

10+ In stock at Andertons. Just ordered one. https://www.andertons.co.uk/behringer-bm13-phaser/

I’m sure it’ll come, though will look a bit different from here and be closer in appearance to the phaser: https://www.matrixsynth.com/2023/03/behringer-introduces-new-moogerfooger.html?m=1

Didn’t look cheap. $400+

@Beedster has had one for sale on here. I’d been considering it to get a second one for my other board. I love mine.

This doesn’t appear to be on Singular Sound’s own website yet but I spotted this on the MIDI association innovation awards page: https://midi.org/innovation-award/beatbuddy-2 I’m tempted just to have a full-size headphone port.
-
Apparently there’s not enough clearance under the encoder to use one of these. I asked Andras.

I’ll email and ask. Occasionally there’s a server error that slips through. Usually quick to fix. Try the solutions I gave.

@itu posted this elsewhere but I wonder if this could be another solution for users worried about stepping on the edit dial by mistake: http://stompshield.com

No. V3 code space is exhausted. V3 enjoyed about 9 years of continuous improvement (at no extra cost to users). V4 will likely get a similar treatment; there are already further improvements and feature additions in the pipeline.

Origin Effects BassRig Ampeg B15 Fliptop recreation
Quatschmacher replied to Quatschmacher's topic in Effects
There’s some kind of reactive circuitry in the Origin stuff where they’ve deliberately built it to replicate the feel. It’s certainly not the same as my tube pedals, but certainly less rigid feeling compared to other solid state preamps I have and have had. Obviously not comparing apples to apples either as I don’t have the tube equivalents of what the two BassRigs are emulating. Have had the Grand Slampegg and Fliptop though. (I’ve also had tube pedals which didn’t give much tube compression.) -

They are nice but doesn’t give the tube feel. I’ve had two of them. -
What’s the error message you get? Have you been able to use it previously? Two things I can think of: 1. when it asks for username, it might actually be email address it needs (can’t remember off the top of my head); 2. if you’ve entered your password incorrectly, I think it doesn’t let you easily overwrite it. You need to go into the config or settings text file in the app data folder and delete the file or enter the correct password there: Windows: "c:lUserslusernamelAppDatalLocall" Mac: "/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/".

Don’t think they’ve made it into stock yet. Andertons are showing as being available next week Monday.
