  1. About the tube type or about a (potential) defeatable cab sim?
  2. Wonder if maybe they’ll add the ultra high and low switches from the later models and have the 64/66 control where the mid control is on the other models. Could be a continuous blend or a 2-position knob and still keep the appearance of the rest of the line.
  3. I just sold one preamp last night and will possibly sell my Super Vintage; together that might just cover this.
  4. I’m curious if they’ll have a mid control as the original didn’t. Also wonder if they’ll cover the two most popular circuit variations that were present in the heritage reissue.
  5. As for the Apple thing, it’s usually kept up to date, but I can’t say for certain as I don’t use it. Best to email their support with any specific questions about that and Zsolt will be able to answer them definitively. (Incidentally I think Andras actually ran a windows emulator on his Mac at one of the trade shows before the actual Mac version of that update was ready.) As for power supplies, I use a Strymon Zuma, but have also used a One Spot adaptor and a standard adaptor that comes with Source Audio pedals.
  6. Pretty sure the format will be the same, though would be nice if they have taken onboard the feedback about that and adapted the format.
  7. The v4 sound quality is a noticeable improvement over the previous versions.
  8. This is a 6SL7 tube, the ones in a B15, so that pretty much confirms it!
  9. Why the Deep Impact though? DI is massively overpriced and far inferior to the Future Impact. By the designer’s own admission the processor in the DI is really low quality. FI does all the DI sounds and far more, all with superior sound quality and tracking for far less money.
  10. Im quite glad I’ve just sold another preamp as if this is the B15 it’ll be an instant purchase.
  11. Great. It’s a fantastic pedal. Love mine.
  12. Some nice new updates added recently, most notably to the sequencer.
  13. @thebob, were you still after one? @tayste_2000 Is it the MKIII or the MKIIIS?
  14. Well, well, cross reference this list with the teaser photo! https://www.guitarcenter.com/riffs/gear-tips/amplifiers--effects/history-of-the-ampeg-b-15-portaflex-bass-amp#On_Wax:_Famous_Tracks_Featuring_the_Ampeg_B-15
  15. There are lots of very optimistically priced things out there. 3Leaf stuff being another example. Whether folks are actually willing to pay that much is a different matter.
  16. They did at one point. I’ve seen a few around £135-150 over the last year.
  17. Could be done. In fact one of my patches does this: velocity is mapped to pitch with a hard curve so that notes above a certain volume threshold transpose an octave up. This can further be regulated by a CC so you can turn it on and off at will.
  18. FI4 sounds for comparison (these patches will be possible on v3 too): FI4 tease.mp3
  19. A little tease. Wasn't sure about which Chameleon patch was more accurate when I made them yesterday (I need to go back with fresh ears). FI4 tease.mp3
  20. Correct, you can route your dry input into the filter (with separate pre- and post-distortion level controls) without having the synth be active; this is how I program stuff like envelope filters on the FI. Any standard cheap USB-to-MIDI cable will work. Worth having a read of the FAQs at the end of the manual as it may answer stuff you want to know.
  21. Even it were a B15, I imagine it’d be the same format as the other BassRigs so the cab sim would not be defeatable on the XLR in engaged mode. From the teaser, I’m thinking it might be more like a Marshall recreation for guitarists (and maybe bass).
  22. There are quite a few high profile players using these kinds of pedals on stages: Mohini Dey, Chris Wolstenholne, Mike Gordon, off the top of my head.
