    I don’t want to have to do this but unemployment is forcing some tough choices. This is my as-new Grand Slampegg which I imported from new last summer. Only ever played at home. It’s a fantastic B15 preamp using the same 6SL7 tube used in the original. The sale also includes one NOS military spec USA Tung Sol 6SL7GT LC30 tube (fitted inside the pedal). This came highly recommended by buffs on a B15 forum and has not disappointed. It was £80. (The original Sovtek tube is also included.) Comes in all the original packaging which includes the little bag. Price of £349 includes fully-insured UK postage via Royal Mail Special Delivery. Any questions, please comment here or PM me.

    The VBO is very good but I eventually got an MIJ OC-2 and the latter is noticeably nicer (both in terms of sound and feel) and tracks almost as well. Easy choice for me. I’ve not had the OC-5 and OC-2 at the same time, but did have the OC-5 and VBO together and preferred the feel of the VBO. There was definitely a bit of a disconnect in feel for me with the OC-5 and I sold it on quickly.

    Basically just don’t put the main footswitch into preset selection mode (long press); just leave it as an engage/bypass switch.

    What I meant was that if you plug in an external footswitch, then you can reassign the main footswitch so it doesn’t cause the problem you mentioned above.

    Rich Tone is my local and they’re lovely people. As for prices for selling your gear with them, they generally pay you 60% of what they’ll list it for (slightly more if you are part exchanging).

    Thanks. He’s 18 now and ASD. Unfortunately he was on waiting lists for adolescent mental health care and was (eventually) being helped by adolescent social services. However, he got ditched the moment he turned 18, so we had to go through the processes all over again for adult care. He’s definitely doing much better than this time last year, but it’s a constant struggle and has really taken it out of me.

    I was in my last job for almost 14 years but left due to difficulties at home with my mentally unwell son. These have improved a bit but not sure they’ve improved enough for me to be able to get into a day job on time every day. Haven’t written a CV in ten years either.
