    The thinking behind his is that one can literally try out the features for oneself, tweaking in real time to see if the device works, rather than people having someone else make the decision for them. For people who just want to use existing presets, they can simply load them up into Soundcheck and audition them to hear if they provide inspiration/usability and cut out the middleman.

    I do. Obviously there’s some overlap between sounds but each brings something a little different.

    On a paring back phase again. Have got a few really nice pedals for sale (C4, Spectrum, Atlas, FI4) as I’m only using fairly limited envelope filter stuff now with a Microtron III and Bass Envelope Filter covering what I use most. Synths are covered using keys now (and my other FI4 when pedals are required). Just using the Origin Compact Bass for compression. Still struggling to narrow down the preamps though; managed to part with one of them but still have five and like them all. 🤦🏻

    In my opinion, the best synth pedal in production. I’m sure most folks know what this is but if not, it’s a fantastic 4-oscillator virtual analogue monosynth. It can be triggered via audio or MIDI. If triggering via audio, it will also convert the audio to MIDI note data and CV so you can simultaneously control other synths. https://www.pandamidi.com/bass-guitar-synth I now have the mini version and two full-size versions. This is my backup full-size unit which is no longer needed. In excellent condition, only ever used at home. Already loaded with the latest 4.12 firmware. Note, this will come with a V3 box sleeve.     Did you have pictures of the actual pedal showing no damage? Might the seller have tried to clean it/remove Velcro with a solvent before sending? Also, if it was something like a solvent spillage in transit, it can evaporate, leaving little trace.

    Really don’t think this is an unreasonable price for such a beautiful and expertly-crafted instrument.
