  1. That’s a good point about TB, well done @Cuzzie & Sir Tom.
  2. No, what I meant was, in time hopefully that will be the case, when it can be managed better. Of course at present it’s still deadly and needs to be treated so. Remember it’s less than a year old and already the vaccine is available, hopefully in time it will be an illness that can be managed once we have a greater knowledge on how to effectively treat it. We’ve made huge advances in a short space of time, and I think the thoughts that it will always be here are realistic, let’s hope with greater knowledge it can be controlled and maintained in the way other killer diseases/infections have been over the years.
  3. I think this is it, it will become another on the list that is managed but will still sadly take lives, it’s probably the best we can hope for, as well as imo the most realistic outlook.
  4. I’ve not played any of my old bands set since I left but I’m pretty sure I could get up on stage and play no problem. Backing vocals, well there’s something that I really would need to rehearse, not for the words but the pitching.
  5. Yes, nice deep sound to them, has the two different voiced channels so nice & versatile, with drive and compression.
  6. Years ago I bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio and at the shop asked to try all of the ones they had in stock (3 of them). One sang, one was indifferent, one vomited, I bought the singer. But yes, three identical guitars, same brand of strings, everything yet such a difference between them.
  7. Well I did it, one on its way from PMT. I think it was the massive saving that instigated this along with @Mertons very good demo, both factors meant I just HAD to get one.
  8. I think it’s that better parts are used as the reason for the higher costs, but in no way in my opinion are said parts of such greater quality that the difference in price is justified. I just wish I could break that hoodoo of “having” to have US made Fenders.
  9. The only one I can think of being similar is the Mike Dirnt, tho still a few differences.
  10. I sense a Saturday purchase of one of these, I can feel its presence. Good to know the valve can be changed as I wouldn’t want too much gain, being able to swap for a lower gain one sounds ideal.
  11. Nice sounds! Not familiar with the material but like it a lot, will have to check them out.
  12. My HPF/LPF arrived last week. Considering New Year etc I didn’t think that was too bad. Too early to tell if I’ll like it though, as at home volumes my bass & practice amp don’t generate the boom that I want the pedal to eliminate, I’ll only find out once the band get back rehearsing — which can’t come round soon enough.
  13. Not sure on the insides but I had both versions of the RM500 for a while. I had the EVO1 version and loved it but bought EVO2 for the matt control panel (cursed middle aged eyesight), however if the 2 hadn’t have sounded like the 1 it would have gone back, happily it didn’t so the weight reduction hasn’t affected the sound or volume levels.
  14. I thought it sounded pretty decent, neck with pick especially so,
  15. I had a Tony Butler V4 Precision for a while, seriously good instrument, just felt substantial. I expected to have to change the pickups but when I A/Bd it against my US Fender there wasn’t enough in it to bother, the only thing I did was install a KiOgon loom to get better quality electrics in it.
  16. If you liked the ABM 410 sound they now do ABM NEO 210s - weigh about 35lbs and the cones are placed diagonally so a pair stand nice and tall baking it easier to hear your proper tone.
  17. Our drummer renamed my Olympic White Precisions as Cheesecake White.
  18. Not wanting to derail the thread but what do you use for the slight growl/grind as I’m also after that?
  19. Great to see another Airbourne fan on here @Cuzzie, superb band.
  20. I`m hoping that Rebellion still goes ahead in August, however it`s an indoor festival with 10.000+ people so potentially it may also be cancelled.
  21. I get that, but if you type in the value on these sites and it’s over the regular limit a prompt comes up that extra insurance is required, and asks you to select how much you now require. So how hard would it be that if you type in guitar a prompt comes up saying no insurance is available on this item, which would then prohibit the extra insurance value box from popping up and allowing you to type in a value which isn’t covered and then pay for that non existent extra insurance. Just seems that it’s easy to prompt for extra cash, not so easy to advise don’t spend your money as it’s not worth your while.
  22. The Squier VM77 & VM70s are worth a look, and are under £400.
  23. Wow!!
