1. Peter Cetera with Chicago on albums from CTA - XI.... he had to contend with a horn section, drummer, percussionist, keys and a guitarist rated better than Hendrix. He still managed to come up with superb melodic, rhythmically grooving basslines reminiscent of McCartney/Jamerson.... and all while singing!! ^_^ Tiran Porter with The Doobie Brothers. Had to contend with 2 drummers, a percussionist, up to 3 guitarists, a keyboard player and huge harmony vocals..... and still cut through with beautifully composed basslines....
2.
im being kissed by a man and my friend is starting at my girlfriends bottom, my expression says it all
Your girlfriend has nice eyes....!
3. Lovely stuff! Keep her name/number handy..... someone here might need it again!
4.
Cant believe someone would put sied LEDS on a 73 Precision.
That's why they put them on a 73 'Jazz' instead....
5. With chrome hardware and a black or red tort scratchplate this thing would have sold by now. Seems we're all concerned with 'looks' eh?
6.
Anyone else spot the advert in this month's BP mag? Chuck's love affair with Phil Jones' daleks seems to have been somewhat fleeting... he's proudly endorsing Genz Benz gear now. I wonder if this topic will prompt a scathing "you're just a nobody" attack from PJB..?
Take the endorsements when they're offered! I hope to be checking out the Genz Benz stuff myself very shortly. GREAT reviews coming in... Good to see Chuck's back playing his Spector as well... and that's his 'choice', rather than an endorsement...
7. Ultimately people vote with their wallets. I'm sure I'm not alone in stating that I haven't bought anything from them since their Wapping days..... and I'm not about to unless there are some MAJOR improvements in their stock, their attitude AND their customer service. They really need to wake up and smell the coffee.... After all, why shop there when we KNOW we will get GREAT service from the Gallery, Bass Central etc....?
8. VERY sexy bass... Have a free bump! As an aside, methinks my next purchase may have to be a white 70's jazz reissue....
9.
Anyone know where you can get bass related t-shirts etc from. I've got a t-shirt for an Ernie Ball Musicman off ebay but other than that, t-shirts are pretty thin on the ground. I saw an anniversary Fender p-bass one and one in the States for Warwick. It's a shame someone doesn't produce a WAL one.
I bought a vintage 'Wal' one from eBay a couple of years ago..... I felt very smug turning up to the 'Wal - day' in it!
10.
I 'know a bloke' who got an aerodyne last year and he *apparently* didn't pay any extra, it just came straight to his door. He's sold that now and later bought an MM bongo from ikebe and was definately stung by customs that time round. Every international purchase after that was picked up by customs and charged. I think you may get away with it once, but after that you're on their radar. Still good deals though
Ah, but *this bloke* had paid charges BEFORE this one.... and since.... seems *he* just got lucky that time....
11. Join the queue Andy....
12.
Lovely sunburst spector on the right there......
13. So, has the new amp arrived.... and what's the score?!?
14. Saw them at the Astoria on the Vivid tour... and the Marquee on the Time's Up tour. Great band. Must buy this DVD....!

16.
Yeh, I really like it there, it has a great stage and a cool atmosphere, even when there's no-one there! What's your band?
Europe's #1/The World's Longest Running KISS Tribute Band "Dressed To Kill"
17.
I like this picture 'cos you can see some of my board, and my bass looks great! Anyone else play the Limelight in Crewe?
Oh yes, play it twice a year and have done for probably 10 years or so... I played it last Friday actually.... great venue!!
18. Ooooh! I LIKE that black one.... Oh no... more GAS!
19. Prob around £400 - £450 I would think...
20. I have an original Ibanez Iceman 'Paul Stanley' guitar from 1978 and it is one of the best guitars I've ever owned/played. Never had the bass version..... though I have been tempted by the dual soapbar / bound-body versions from a few years back.
21.
I'm holding out for one of the Thunderbirds you have
Sorry buddy, I ain't gonna be selling those! However, type 'Fernandes Thunderbird' into eBay (worldwide search) and you should see two on there at bargain prices. One is a bolt-on with passive pickups and a full size body, the other is a more expensive thru neck with active pickups and a slightly reduced (3/4 size) body. Both are superb....! The seller (Mustang_Axeslinger) is the same guy I bought mine from and he comes highly recommended. Let me know how you get on....
22. In a nutshell.... 4 string basses aren't going anywhere. Neither are double basses. The White Stripes sound like my cousins band in their garage (there's two of them and they're 11 years old)....
23. Where's Lorne? I'm sure he'd have something to say....!
24. More Wal loveliness..... very nice my friend!
25.
OMG - nearly had an accident. How can you play Spectors when you have that?
VERY easily..... Spectors are IMHO the ULTIMATE 'rock' bass.... no question..... For fretless though.... You can't beat a Wal...
