  1. Dear all, I'm in the market for a bass in the region of up to £1200 - £1300. I'm looking for an instrument which has a woody tone and is suitably versatile for jazz ratherthan full on mosh! I've triedthe Fender American Delux Jazz and lieked it as well as sadowsky too (exPensive) but heard good thingS about the Warwick Infinity? Any suggestions anyone? Thanks
  2. Hi, I've got a Fender Dimension 5 string. It's 18 months old and as new. What does anyone reckon it's worth? If it looks promising I'll post photos. Cheers
  3. Hi all, I recently had a go on a Sadowsky Metroline UVMW 5 and was blown away by the feel and the sound - much more b#lls than a jazz bass. Quality was superb. Excellent B string too - no flap at all and excellent tone. I heard that the stingray 5 feels similar but haven't tried one. Does anyone know ifthe neck profiles are the same? I have small hands and the thing about hte Sadowsky was that it was comfortable? Would the Stingray 5 be too? Any opinions welcome . Mant thanks W
  4. Hi all, I had the opportunity to try a Sadowsky UV70MW Metroline 5 String and was blown away by the sound and feel. It has much more power than a Jazz bass. My question is how would you compare this to a stingray 5. I was told that they feel similar. Is this the case? Are the neck profiles close? Many thansk - you will influence a buying decision here! cheers W
  5. Hi, I'm considering a yamaha trb5 p11 or a Spector Euro 5LX (the neckthrough one!) I'm getting a good price on the Spector (<£1000 new) and I'd like advice on how it stacks up against the Yam???? One thin I noticed withthe Spector was the lack of mid-range adjustment!!!!!!!!! as well as the fact you had to unscrew a plat eat athe back to replacethe battery. However, the Spector felt really good to play ! What opinions does anyone have on these basses? Thanks Will
