3.
I quite like the fat Warwick necks, but... Have you thought about a Spector - similar style to the Warwicks, but very different necks. I'm sure I read somewhere that Warwick pinched the streamer design off of Spector, but I may have made that up.
True, if you liked the Warwick but not the neck then you need to check a Spector Euro/LX Warwick didn't pinch the design, they licensed it for a short time from Stuart Spector/Ned Steinberger then just stopped paying.....! I believe a settlement was reached some years ago for their illegal use of the design...
 4. Lovely Jazz & Ray
 5.
not needing a new bass ? the words make sense on their own, but together... sorry.
I always need new basses! lol! Just not another one of these....

 9.
I've played Spectors & have liked them, but they're a bit of a leaden tool, rather like a Precision. The TRB will do almost everything, and the Spector is mainly a rock bass with it's aforementioned punch.
Tell that to Doug Wimbish, Reinie Press (Neil Diamond), Chuck Rainey, Leigh Foxx (Blondie), Dean Jarvis (Nelly Furtado), Graham Maby (Natalie Merchant/Joe Jackson etc), Aaron Mills (Outkast) etc etc etc etc..... The Yamaha is a great bass.... very solid and workmanlike with a great tonal range, but like Homer says.... the Euros are phenomenal basses, great value for money and have amazing build quality/components...
 10. Up until a couple of years ago I owned a 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom 3pu which was owned & played live by Ace Frehley of KISS between 1979 & 1980. It had a slightly burnt pickup surround (swapped off one of his smoking guitars) and had been customised by him with pearloid tuners, DiMarzio Super Distortion pu's etc.... It was also signed, in a signed original Gibson case and came with a signed pic of him at the point of sale.... Twas a lovely piece of classic rock n roll memorabilia but I got a cash offer I couldn't refuse....
 11. Wow... that white Jazz is THE NUTS!! Congrats I've been wanting that exact bass for a while.... that's definitely next on the GAS list!
 12.
is that serious?
Why not? It's a supremely solid bit of bass playing....

 20.
I guess it's the Marmite factor..... you love them or hate them.... I'm the same with U2 and Oasis
Aye, I don't mind the odd bit of U2 but Oasis are IMHO quite dreadful....
 21. I guess you can predict my answer...... but I'd probably swap out the preamp....
 22. Nice guitar playing, dull song, dreadful singer..... sorry, I just DON'T get it....
 23.
I've got an Ampeg SVT-3 PRO and it's been great for the last 9 years, but I think you need to choose the cabs very carefully. It works really well with Mesa Boogie cabs
Amen to that..... my SVT-3 Pro sounds immense with my Mesa 2x15EV! Highly underestimated amp..... but be aware that some of the knobs work in the reverse way to you would expect!
