1. In addition to many of those mentioned above I would add: Peter Cetera & Danny Seraphine (Chicago) Tiran Porter & John Hartman/Keith Knudsen (Doobie Brothers) Guy Pratt & Brian McLeod (Toy Matinee) Ross Valory & Steve Smith (Journey)
2. Chicago..... just to get to play all those cool old Peter Cetera basslines.... with the horn section! I couldn't manage to sing his amazing vocals AND play at the same time though! The Doobie Brothers.... to relive the classic Tiran Porter basslines & good-time harmony vocals! KISS.... to experience being part of the whole stageshow...and the 'encores' back at the hotel afterwards...
3. The Wal MK1 Geddy Lee that's on the 'For Sale' section.....!!
4. The difference between the NSCR and the NSCRFM was simply in the quality of the maple. Both were maple thru-neck but the 'FM' models had a flamed maple top whereas the others had a more standard top. Electronics in both were either 'Aguliar' or EMG 'Spector' circuits. The newer LX models are thru-neck maple with alder bodysides with a slice of walnut through the middle (to increase the 'fundamental') and a maple top. They have the new Spector 'Tonepump' circuit in them. These basses are slightly lighter and take some taming!
5.
(I always accidentally type Enter Shakira!!!)
That's just wishful thinking....!
6. Jeff Genzler and his crew have an EXCELLENT reputation for superb Customer Service. Sounds like they are proving that very point right now.... ^_^
7. Here's mine.... A Pedulla Buzz Deluxe lined fretless (yep, it's in black) And A Wal Mk1 un-lined fretless with stained maple facings...
8. I would give a miss to anything more than a pedal made by them....
Cambridge would be better, or at least a place off the M1 or A1.
But then that would almost be more of a 'Midlands Bash'...
10. Does anyone know if there's much difference in quality between Japanese Fenders from the mid 90's and the ones today? I've seen a mid 90's Japanese Fender P bass for under £250 and was wondering what the score was on these...
11. With my KISS Tribute Band 'Dressed To Kill' I've been lucky enough to share the stage and play alongside various KISS members (Bruce Kulick, Mark St John, Peter Criss & Eric Singer). I've also performed for KISS members Gene Simmons & Ace Frehley and manager Bill Aucoin. We have had some famous names attend & watch our shows as well..... including Rick Savage, Joe Elliott & Phil Collen (Def Leppard), the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Danger Danger, Terrorvision & Wolfsbane. With other bands I have been lucky enough to perform on the same bill with Jethro Tull, Paradise Lost, Saxon, Paul Young, Beverly Craven, Motorhead, Dio, Tigertailz. I have also performed for Jimmy Page.....& Rick Wright (Pink Floyd)

13. Agreed, they pulled an auction of mine on Day 6 (of 7!) because I mentioned in my auction (honestly) that I also had the item advertised elsewhere. Seems they'd rather penalise honest eBayers than go after scammers and rip-off merchants
14.
You can buy a non-Fender bridge cover that fits over a BadAssII bridge comfortably, they used to sell it on basspartsresource.com but it appears that they don't stock it anymore. Perhaps worth investigating? I'm not sure of the manufacturer but I know they're definitely for sale out there somewhere!
Thanks, will do.... If anyone else knows of the cover to which you are referring could they please let me know!
15. Cheers anyway chaps!
16. I'm considering making a few cosmetic adjustments to my lovely Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass. Does anyone know whether the typical Jazz bass 'ashtray' bridge covers (with F logo) will fit over the Badass II bridge... or is the Badass II too wide/set back too far? Any help would be appreciated and would save me buying one only to find it doesn't fit!
17.
ahhh.... Guitar Centre. They're excellent stores, not only is the kit as cheap as the proverbial chips but the staff are all really good and knowledgable,
Wow.... that's the opposite of what they say on www.talkbass.com....
18.
But as far as basses go, I seem to have to go through the card! In the past year I've had CIJ Precision '51, Warwick Streamer 5, MM Sub, Epiphone Thunderbird and Archer Kasim Sulton signature.
Mick, what was the Archer bass like? From pics I've seen it looks pretty nice....
19.
As I am only 5'7" tall,I have trouble finding a really comfy bass to play. Surely I ca'nt be the only player with this problem? Anyone else out there suffering from an in-built height restriction?
Check out my Jackson 'Kip Winger' bass on the 'For Sale' section. Small, lightweight and powerful..... 20.
Thought I'd take this opportunity to share my imported Jap 70's Fender P. This is a non -export model. How she arrived, looking very Phil Lynott And how she looks now, all John Deacon. Love her to bits!
Sorry Dood... I can't find this bass with this colour option on Ishibashi for the price you paid. Can you point me to the right link? Thanks!
21. Great bass, great deal.... ESPECIALLY with the EMGs & BQC preamp! This HAS to sell.... it's a bargain!
22. Lovely cab
23. Tell us more!
24. You could always quietly find a replacement for the 'weak link', then tell the 'weak link' that the band are splitting up. A couple of weeks later you can then 'reform' with the new member....
25.
