1.
I'm getting and Landmark 300, v.nice amps and easy to get a good sound out of it! Best thing with the footswitch is that you can run both channels at the same time
You will LOVE the tone of your Spector through it.... just be careful with your input gain level on the amp and the excessive boost available from your Spector tonepump preamp!
 2. Twas a brilliant show.....! Keith Carlock and Freddie Washington were tight as a gnats chuff! Songs of the night for me.... 'Aja' complete with stunning drum fills....and a rousing finale of 'My Old School' !! I was sitting 3 rows behind Paul McCartney..... and David Gilmour was also there.... he came over to say Hi to Paul and everyone stared in disbelief.... Two funny moments: 1) In the dark a guy tripped over Paul McCartney's foot and Paul half caught him. The guy said thanks and Kept walking oblivious as to who he had tripped over. 2) At one point a late arriver came down the aisle looking for his seat and stood next to the seated McCartney while he worked out where he was supposed to be sitting..... and then walked off. The catch?: This bloke had a big 'Beatles' bag over his shoulder!! Lol!
 3. Just received a bass from Japan. 5 days door to door with EMS shipping. A lot easier/faster/cheaper than buying from the US!
 4.
Well i went into My local Sound Control Today and saw a beautiful Spector Euro, I honestly didnt pay attention to the exact model, But i think it was the same as the one tht was recently reviewed on this site. Natural, PJ Config, about 900 quid. Anyway, It sounded brilliant through an ampeg combo they had out. But the Pickups just got in my way, the curved back just put things at a wierd angle, the screws on the side of the pickups where too curved and my thumb slipped off them. All silly stuff which left me quite dissapointed!
You needed to get that thing on a strap. The curved back fits around your beer belly..... After that it's plain sailing.....

 8. Nice rig! Good to see someone else using Tech21 gear! The heads are great and I've heard nothing but good things about the cabs.... I have the Tech21 Landmark 600 Head and it ROARS!!!! Especially through my Mesa/Boogie Diesel 2x15EV!

 11.
Hey cetera, when did you flog the destroyer? was it an old model from the 80s?
Wow, it must be 15 years ago now.... I traded it in again a Bass Collection SB301 at the time.... Yep, it was an old 80's model with cream coloured P/J pickups...
 12. This is a GREAT amp! Highly recommended! I have the Landmark 600 as I didn't feel the 300 was powerful enough for my needs. Have a free BUMP on me!

 14.
C Just interested, but what's the name of your Kiss tribute band? I've seen a few. My old guitarist made an Ace Frehley outfit (from the Hotter Than Hell era) and once in a while would throw it on, plus very quick Ace face makeup, for encores. Cheers P
Hi, the name of the band is 'Dressed To Kill' (www.dressedtokill.org.uk). We're the longest established KISS tribute in the World (17+years), the #1 in Europe and the official choice of Gene Simmons ) If you haven't seen us recently (or at all) come see us! We're playing 'The Standard' in Walthamstow this Friday night and 'The Diamond' in Sutton in Ashfield (Mansfield) on Saturday....
 15. Me (a few years ago) from a CD sleeve.... Me (posing catalogue-stylee) on my honeymoon.... Me, as 'Gene Simmons' of KISS..... with my lady.....
 16. Cetera..... aka 'Gary' .....been playing semi-professionally for 17 years..... can currently be seen spanking my bass, breathing fire & spitting blood while treading the boards in full make-up, outfit & stack heeled monster boots in Europe's #1 KISS Tribute Band 'Dressed To Kill' (www.dressedtokill.org.uk). To provide some light & shade to this I also play in Madness tribute band 'Cairo East' & function band 'The Party 7'.... Have toured extensively all over Europe and Japan... Drug free, low alcohol consumption. Married to an amazing lady, no kids yet (that I know of...)... Work between gigs at PRS and deal with copyright/royalties for major live events & tours.... Top bass influences include Peter Cetera (ex-CHICAGO), Tiran Porter (ex-DOOBIE BROS), Gene Simmons (KISS), Ross Valory (JOURNEY), Joe Puerta (AMBROSIA), Billy Sheehan (DLR / MR BIG), Phil Lynott (THIN LIZZY), Jason Scheff (CHICAGO), John Deacon (QUEEN), Kip Winger (A COOPER/WINGER), Dee Murray (ex-ELTON JOHN), Guy Pratt (TOY MATINEE / PINK FLOYD / MADONNA / SESSIONS) and many more! I love Spector basses, amps with growl/grind/punch and old Mesa Boogie 'EV' loaded Diesel cabinets
