1.
Oh wow, very nice. I had a 1516BE cabinet and it was amazing. I notice you have one too!
Yep, and a 2x15! Time to streamline a little methinks..... shame to part with it though....
 2. OK, time to slim down some of my backline choice. I have some other potential purchases coming up & could do with the dosh so sadly I've decided to move this on. Here we have an amazing Mesa/Boogie Diesel 600W cab (4ohms) with 6x10" EV speakers, a tweeter and two ports in the rear. Now, as I'm sure you know.... 'EV' loaded Mesa cabs like this (which are no longer made) are widely considered to be the best bass cabs that they EVER made... This cab nails ANY style. The 10's with tweeter are super fast for slap/funk but the sheer density of the cab & the combination of 10's with the ports can also shake your foundations with solid rocking low end loveliness. The whole tonal palette is covered and volume is NOT a problem The cab is in excellent condition, just a few small rips in the outer covering, and is on wheels for easy movement. It IS heavy but it makes up for it's weight in pure tonal quality. Pick up is preferred/recommended from London/Surrey border (near Epsom/Tolworth).

 8. Don't worry about the flightcases! Just buy the basses you want, get them to put them into Gator soft (but hard!) flightcases, put some greasy fingerprints on the basses and get the shop to give you a load of stickers to cover them with..... It's worked many times for er.... mates of mine.....!
 9.
Has anybody got/tried a Mesa Walkbout 1x15 4 ohm extension cab? I've got a choice between that and a GK RBX 4x10 8ohm cab. I have a GK 400RBHIII 2x10 combo and an Ashdown Superfly 500 head to match up with them. Help!! I've only got a day to make a choice. Do I match the Ashdown with the Mesa and have a lightweight mini stack and a combo to back up? Or do I get stacking and go with the GK cab, and use the Ashdown head with it for smaller gigs..... A quick response would be much, much appreciated. Cheers!
Mesa cabs are excellent. That would be my choice.
 10. That's quite a score there!!! Congrats! Looking forward to seeing the final result
 11. Beaver and co are great to deal with and will always try and get you the best deal possible. Highly recommended.
 12. My 'sig' says it all........
 13. Lovely 'Futura'..... is that a bolt on or through-neck?
 14. Have a free BUMP in case it doesn't sell....! It's an excellent bass..... and as mentioned before, your model is actually a Euro5, which is an older (& some say better) model....
 15. Ooooooh! I LIKE that Roscoe.... VERY sexeee
 16. Great review of my all time favourite make of bass. I've NEVER had any issues with the build quality, tonal colours, feel, playability or just damn horny looks that these basses are blessed with. It don't get any better!
 17. Twas a nice Jazz bass...... and they rocked out to the Styx xlassic 'Mr Roboto' at the end too...!!
 18.
I like that Hamer too. How much?
What..... how much did I pay?.... or how much will I take for it?!?

 20.
Although, I suspect that would balance better out of the box.
Actually, there is still a little neckdive.... but nothing too serious
 21.
But i dont have a belly! It just dug into my ribs and abdomen I really wanted to like it! It was a stunner, and sounded ace.
Lower the strap then and it will envelope your bony hip bone....
 22. Well, I've had a good couple of weeks! Having sold my Spector Euro5LX for £775 I've managed to purchase two old basses I've always wanted! And BOTH of them have more than lived up to my expectations!! First up is a late 80's/early 90's Hamer Impact bass. These were made in very limited numbers for a very short period but were seen in the hands of US rock players such as Kip Winger (Winger) & Jack Blades (Night Ranger/Damn Yankees) amongst others.... More pics of this one to follow soon...... Second up is this fantastic Fernandes Ltd Edition 'Spector Nikki Sixx' copy from around 1990!! I'm gonna be upgrading the pickups to EMGs and putting a Spector lookalike gold bridge and gold Schaller straplocks on it and then it will be a MONSTER!!
 23.
I saw this on eBay a couple of weeks ago. It's a Fernandes Thunderbird - it's a lot like the old Spector Thunderbirds Nikki Sixx played in the late 80s. Link: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/mus.../mc14sixx/2.jpg Don't know about you guys, but this really popped my cork when I saw it. I loved the old Spectors that Sixx played...the Spector headstock on a T-bird body was something lovely...this milks that design. Much love P x
That's my new bass..... just arrived a few days ago!! It's a fantastic "Spector Nikki Sixx" copy made by Fernandes around 1990 and extremely limited in production. It's really well made and with a great tone! I'm just about to upgrade it with some EMG's, a Spector lookalike bridge and some Schaller straplocks..... Here's some more pics.....
 24.
Here's a quick tip - Once you have been given your EMS tracking number (E*****************JP) enter it on te parcel force website for a more detailed breakdown of the process. As soon as the parcel is said to be 'sorting at depot' just go and get it yourself - in my experience they tend to send you a letter saying they want you to come and get it about 2/3 days after this.
That's exactly what I did. As soon as it hit my local depot I simply turned up with the tracking number and some personal ID, paid the customs charge and went home VERY satisfied!
 25.
I'm getting and Landmark 300, v.nice amps and easy to get a good sound out of it! Best thing with the footswitch is that you can run both channels at the same time
You will LOVE the tone of your Spector through it.... just be careful with your input gain level on the amp and the excessive boost available from your Spector tonepump preamp!
