  1. There is an update on the Status site.... "We would like to thank everyone for the incredible response to our 40th Anniversary and Limited Edition 2000 basses. It may take a while to get all the basses allocated but I expect to be able to contact everyone later today or first thing tomorrow."
  2. Yeah, I think he had one the 30th Anniversary basses as I recall. A really nice example too.
  3. Doesn’t sound like anyone here has contacted Rob about any of these instruments. I sent a message registering my interest, but have heard nothing. Anyone had any response?
  4. Ha ha. They thought they’d stolen a decent bass and were disappointed to find out it was a Rickenbacker 😂. (it’s a joke - I own one myself)
  5. That transparent red 40th would be my choice. I missed out on the 30th Anniversary basses. I had the opportunity to buy one, but it wasn’t the one I really wanted and it came along at the wrong time.
  6. A small basement in downtown Bakhmut. Parking is no problem, I just can't guarantee your car won't be in a thousand pieces by the end of the night.
  7. Having listened to every song listed again, here's my result. It's a bit of an oddity anyway as there are a lot of songs missing to start with.
  8. I was there right up to the 3 bolt neck 🤷‍♂️
  9. I do love the live albums, even after finding out about the tinkering that went on. Agreed regarding the production of the earlier albums, but I do have a soft spot for Dressed To Kill though.
  10. Did you ever do any of the solo material live?
  11. There are a bunch of songs on the Simmons solo album that were written and demoed for Destroyer, but for one reason or another didn’t make the grade. It would have been nice to have heard them with the full on Ezrin production, although to have the demo’s is something I guess. They’re on the Super Deluxe version. I think Ace said some of his solo album songs were written for Rock and Roll Over.
  12. Slightly off topic, but I listened to all four of the solo albums at work this morning. You can certainly hear echoes of the band's songwriting in all of them except Peter Criss' effort, which is just dire IMHO. I'm aware he's known as having 'jazz' roots, but that album is getting deleted from my downloads. I think Ace's album is probably my favourite, followed by Paul's, then Gene's, but there's not much in it.
  13. I guess you probably wouldn't pick GGR&RTY though?
  14. I saw this on Bruce Kulick's FB page and it baffled me as to how he managed to get to God Gave Rock & Roll To You as being the ultimate Kiss song. It's a flippin' cover version! Love 'em or hate 'em, they've written a few decent songs, so here's the challenge if you want to play along.
  15. Love that album. Ooozes quality. Might give it another spin right now actually.
  16. Yes, I'm not seeing a case anywhere. If it was wrapped in soft material inside a box, you only have yourself to blame. Doubly so for not insuring it.
  17. I was with you until the last eight words 😂
  18. I would expect with a group of orchestra size, one or two objections to a particular piece would get outvoted, unless you've gone down the route of any objections and the song gets sidelined? Personally, I'm all about the music and the quality thereof. Would I play Two Little Boys or Do You Wanna Touch Me? No, absolutely not. Have I played MJ tunes? You bet. So I guess I do draw my own lines, but they're fairly broad and I've not yet had any requests for Rolf Harris or Gary Glitter material, so win/win. I really don't get the objection to Two Tribes. I'd be inclined to ask the objector to do one. Name a time when there wasn't a war going on somewhere.
  19. No problem. Welcome to Basschat.
  20. Nice basses them. I have one of the 5 he signed.
