Whoa that's has some 'play me!' appeal! Congratulations.

Oh dear... very sad news. He was a luthier of such renown, building for Tony Iommi as well as Mark King.

Don't think this has been posted yet but here's a well filmed YT mini documentary on Alembic. Good explanation and sounds of the Q circuit.

Not sure that's right. Maybe for the B3n unit, it's non-proprietary software but the GT-1B is official Boss software and very good. However @Bleat is correct in that the synth sounds are dire - or I think, sound good but the tracking is awful so either way, unusable.
-
@Diew919, There's very little coverage of this unit on the Net and even from Boss themselves - only 3 contributors to the online library and their patches are frankly terrible and unusable with hugely varying levels. I suggest you search instead for coverage of its guitar brother, GT-1 which has some helpful videos. I'd also just try experimenting yourself with the Tone Studio editor - it's quick to trial different effects chains, parameters and pedal orders. Finally, I've not had much success with the Pre-amps which all make the sound 'boxy'. Would love to hear from anyone who's made progress with these?

I played @Dood's 7-string Shuker at a bass show years ago and it was very impressive...

Agree - completely random. All good players of course but Top-10? Thing is everyone reading this thread has looked at the list right? It's just click-bait psychology. We all love a list. P.s. you know it's real click-baity when they go, 'You won't believe who's at #3'...

Great show- saw them at the Lowry in Manchester. As with other posters, agree that the Christians were good too! The L42 rhythm section were on fire! MK obvs but that drummer. Horns well integrated too. Fantastic show.

Not seen one of those before. Looks like a pre-evolution of the Grooveline series. Full marks to Ibanez for bass innovation and experimentation over the years.
-
You may have a better response in the 'Bass Guitars' discussion but I'll pitch in for an Ibanez EHB 5-ver. Multi-scale, light and sounds great.
-
So a new contender... Aimed at guitar but with some bass amps and cabs. About £100ish... look interesting. Anyone got one yet? How does it work for bass?

Peter Gabriel with the mighty Tony Levin on bass. Very good show. Some great new songs and amazing young musicians with the core band. https://tonylevin.com/road-diaries/peter-gabriel-io-tour/manchester-show

Two Notes Le Bass 2-Channel Tube Bass Pre Amp - *SOLD*
visog replied to Hammer_'s topic in Effects For Sale
Two Notes user here and the 'Hot Fustion' should be gnarly! Sounds like the tube may have gone. That said, it's quite a dynamic pedal where the controls and channels affect each other when combined. Reset everything and work your way through the settings: https://wiki.two-notes.com/doku.php?id=le_preamp_series:le_preamp_series_user_s_manual -
Franzbassist, I've got that one too. Mine came with a gig bag. I see you've put markers on the neck. Good addition. I still get lost down low or high...

Dingwall Afterburner 1 Candy Apple Red - *SOLD*

Would highly recommend you try one. That middle-C to high C range speaks so clearly for chords and guitar lines, yet the bottom goes all the way down to a thunderous low C and a final B below that. I know people say you don't notice the fan frets... I do! and the headless means you'll be on the wrong string and fret all the time but I'm getting used to it. Build is great but the form factor is killing: muchio strings, light weight, good balance and passive mode for long sessions. Absolutely great workhorse. Got my GB here for luxury and it has the hi-fi tone but it eats batteries and is heavy. The EHB is my 'does everything' beater!
